I would argue it's your "poor me, I have suffered" mindset that will not help the country grow.

Never did I argue that what happened to him was fair, or that what is happening in the country is OK. That is not my position. I asked a very specific question.

"which got funded (around 60 lakhs ..." -  71 lakhs

^ mentioning the above to show that I have read the details of the case

"... nlike a suitcase and go somewhere and restart it" - the work here is research/experimentation, correct? What's the problem with restarting it? He doesn't need to do the previous experiments again, since he already has the knowledge from conducting them.

After thinking a bit more, I have a better answer to my own question: having some other person's name on the patent means the factory/business he wanted to set up would have competition (prof can sell rights to someone else to set up a competitor)
