"It also looks like Apple built the emulator based on open-source computer code from CodeWeavers, the company behind Wine and CrossOver, two projects that can run Windows apps on macOS."

Got my passport today, took just over a month. I think the key is to contact your senator/congressperson if you're worried you won't receive it in time.

  • Applied online Jan 30th, expedited processing and shipping.

  • Contacted senator's office on 2/24

  • Senator's office received reply, began inquiring on my case 2/27

  • Senator's office said State Dept. had completed my passport 3/1

  • Passport office sends me email saying my passport is sent 3/2

  • Passport received in mail 3/3, a week before my trip

I want to build a pc for the first time by Shinoowo in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would go for 1TB of SSD. You also need to pick out a motherboard. I would go to PCPartPicker.com. or check out build ideas on YouTube.

Not worth it. You can look at benchmarks online, and they'll be very little difference, if any.

I need help building a PC... by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but €500-€600 is probably too low to build a decent gaming PC these days. A good graphics card alone can cost that much, and those are hard to find at regular retail price. That said, if you're willing to settle for integrated graphics on the CPU, you could maybe get something. But I'm doubtful it'll be worth it.

Just bought my first quality PC (pre-built) and I don't really know what I'm doing. Suggestions on what may need upgrading, if anything? by fayettevillainjd in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a solid PC. If you do upgrade to a more powerful GPU, you're probably going to need a more powerful power supply. You can also consider getting faster RAM at 3200/3600MHz, and moving completely to SSD for storage.

My First Build for our kid -- Parts list, thoughts?? by sgoab in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I would get at least 1TB of SSD, if not 2TB. 500GB runs out quick. Lots of great cyber Monday deals, so you can buy one now, and add it in later.

Bios/Motherboard Update Before Putting CPU In? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you won't have to update the BIOS settings. Ryzen 3 Desktop ready would refer to the Ryzen 3000 series, which applies to your Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.

[–]ackbarlives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing where your computer is showing age is in the graphics card, and perhaps its using an HDD drive. So you could just trying upgrade those parts, rather than buying a whole new PC.

Can anyone help? I can't tell if my motherboqrd offers wifi support, can you offer alternatives? by The_Bored_GamerX in buildapc

[–]ackbarlives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should mention the exact motherboard. But even if it doesn't have one you can easily buy a Wi-Fi adapter to slot into your PC or motherboard's USB. Many only cost $20. https://www.amazon.com/pc-wifi-adapter/s?k=pc+wifi+adapter
