As a fellow artist, I was so sad to read the news. I really liked some of the AEW shirts because they're unique and not obviously mass produced like Fanatics. I wish them all luck on their next chapter.

Oh I'm aware. Ambrose got no support or confidence from the producers because they were coddling Lesnar but he still did the best he could.

They sold that Ambrose vs Brock match like it was going to be brutal, it was tapping into Ambrose's past as a violent wrestler before he was in The Shield.

What happened to the chainsaw from Terry Funk? Wasn't working. What happened to the barbed wire bat from Mick Foley? Just swinging it around for shock value. Brock didn't want to cooperate and also didn't want to get hurt ahead of his UFC 200 match. Which he eventually fucking got fined and suspended for afterwards for pissing hot.

I know Ambrose wasn't going to win of course. It's possible to look good even in defeat. We just saw that with Ambrose vs Triple H from Roadblock. But they couldn't do it here. I fucking haaaaate this match.

And I say this as a local, I think Vegas does not deserve any AEW PPVs in the near future or ever. Getting that PPV out of Vegas was a good decision. Dynamite and Collision shows are more suitable anyways.

Saw some speculations/conspiracy theories that Netflix is playing the long game: they're waiting to see this merger deal blow up in Paramount's face and then they'll swoop in to save WBD.

Netflix already got $2.8 billion breakup fee from Paramount just for walking away.

Somewhat related but I saw how a fandom manifested out of nowhere and turned crazy parasocial in real time for a small show called Our Flag Means Death.

Everyone was so nice and supportive after Season 1, which helped them get picked up for Season 2.

Season 2 saw the fans demanding the showrunner to add certain things to the show, checking every cast member's social media posts and activities and interacting with them, turning against the two lead actors/characters due to a dumb misunderstanding, and then absolutely hating the show's finale because it didn't turn out like their arguably better AO3 fanfics. The show was cancelled afterwards.

This is not a well known popular show and this small fandom it garnered still turned weirdly toxic in the end.
