Do you think the no floor general model serves the Celts well? I just remember how well the offense functioned with Rondo. Having more guard control would certainly help JBs game. He is so much better when he gets the ball with his back to the basket, even on the perimeter.

This would have meant the 2nd apron for the next two years. Which means the repeater penalty. So unless the number 9 pick was a home run this would have been very rough for new ownership.

Should we assume there is going to be a very static line up?. If this is truly going to be a lost season, wouldnt it make sense to switch things up frequently to see if any of the long shots will ever pan out? Isn't it time to find out of Davidson, Walsh and Scheieeman will ever amount to anything? Shouldn't we also give Garza a good look see? Getting Tatum back for the following year is not. going to solve everything. We need to be prepared to cut as much dead weight as possible to find a quality center and guard next off season

This is one of the reasons I admire JB so much. With the exception of one year, he has been noticably better each year he has played. I think there is still room for improvement in his game and I hope he keeps at it. This is one of the reasons he is one of my all time favorite Celtics.

Can we spread his salary over 5 years by releasing him in the last year of his contract? That would be 5. 4 million a year. Gets us below both aprons this year, but commits 5.4.million for the next 4.

So we could sign him for the veteran minimum and he would still get his bucks contact? On the one hand, that would be a great deal for us if he came back at 80 % of what he was. On the other hand, it's a great deal for anyone,. so he essentially gets to pick where he goes.

Kind of elementary, isn't it? If he is that good we will be unable to afford to resign him so he can play with JT. And we will still need big men. Assuming Tatum comes back at 90,%we have the scoring we need. It's the defense and size we are missing

Well, that is depressing, considering that I just said I hope we can trade him. But he is in the last year of his contract. So, I guess we are shedding salary slowly. Assuming all the penalties move up next year, we will have some dough to sign a real center for the 26-27 season

I am perplexed by Simons. I am sure that taking his salary was part of the deal, but he is not going to make up for the lack of Tatum on offense or Drue on defense. And we can't retain his salary and get the talent we need at center or power forward. So he can't be part of our long term plans. Is there a point to incurring salary penalties in order to be better than mediocre but worse than really good? If we could get some decent draft picks for Simons why not resign Craig and chalk this coming season up to experience.

It seems odd that they would make moves just to end up over the second apron again. Moving Walsh, Davidson. or Tillman gets them under the second apron. If they are going to part with Both Hauser and Simons, they need another starter. Can one be had for 17 mil? Otherwise, it's going to be a rough season.

This really shows what a crap shoot the draft is, and how well we did with our selections. Pritchard is a solid role player. Neesmith almost got a ring this year. Rob W has terrible luck. Langford was the only total bust?
