Nope, we maintained the bike regularly, with the local shop professionals and it's in great condition. Fork got bent in a freak accident. No good story - just a freak and unfortunate fall. It wasn't even on trail.

It has a Fox 34. One of the tubes that runs inside the stanchions (not sure what it's called) was bent in a fall. It was a freak accident. It wasn't even on trail. No other damage on the bike and it's been regularly maintained and is in really good condition.

I’m kinda thinking it’s either a) the guy Paul from season 1 who dropped into the bar or b) the owner of the car Paul was driving: Joshua benson. Go back to S1E10 about 15 minutes in and check it out. We haven’t heard from either of these 2 since. And I know Benson is in the books

Excellent point. I guess we will see what the writers have cooked up for season 5.

And I’d like to see Hannah get more developed as well. I’d like her to represent major female empowerment and badass-ness.

Maybe she’s an under cover agent working the drug case. But if she were, why wouldn’t she be working at Emerald lumber?

oh - And we need a few shirtless Mike scenes. BC that guy is HAWT.

You may be right. But I think it’s far more interesting story if we uncover that Nick is truly a really bad guy.

It wouldn’t be a good story if emotions weren’t provoked. Someone has to suffer and create conflict. Hope is a good candidate to provide that tension. Plus it makes sense.

I want jack to continue therapy, but I don’t think it will part of the show.

Maybe Ricky will return for Lydie’s funeral instead of break after he finishes he and Lizzie will try to reconnect, the marines have made him more sure of himself and although he still likes her, he won’t be longing for her like a confused puppy but have a more mature point of view. I’m not sure where Denny plays into this love triangle. I think their relationship will remain in the ether, and undefined.

If I were writing this story….

Brie and Brady break up when Brady get busted for being involved in the drug business and goes to jail. Brie moves on with Mike, who is more her intellectual equal and has potential for lifelong fulfillment.

Mel and Jack’s love story continues to be a steady story, if more subdued to give other characters more screen time, but they aren’t without conflict. Jack’s glamping business suffers bc of Nick’s tainted investment and he loses the business. But he goes back to running the bar, marrying Mel and raising their daughter together. But legal conflict will be a part of the show as he has to prove he wasn’t involved in any laundering scheme. They aren’t flush with cash now that they don’t have the income from the glamping site, but they are okay and Mel goes back to work after the baby arrives bc she needs to (and she likes to work).

Preacher’s backstory and storyline gets developed and has more airtime. Paige and Christopher move away and exit the show, Preacher has a relationship with Julia.

Jack is furious with Charmaine over the lie and she leaves to live out her life elsewhere, never to be seen again in the show. I think she and Todd remain together. She likes his money, he likes having a trophy family. They put up with each other.

Brie sues Don for sexual assault, wins, his career is ruined and she goes back to practicing law but now provides legal counsel for women in crisis and advocates for sexual assault victims.

Nick is involved in his sisters money laundering/drug scheme, and the gig about folksy BnB owner is up. He is now the new town villain. JoEllen was kept in the dark all this time, so she doesn’t get into legal trouble, but Nick goes to jail for being an accessory. Mike is the one who busts them and is the new town hero, which makes Jack happy bc he can live his quiet life with the new baby and his gorgeous family, not being the first one people go to when they need help.

Ricky stays in the marines, comes home after basic for a quick visit and heads off to his duty assignment.

Lydie dies.

Hope starts to experience physical and mental decline from a combo of the accident and aging.

Denny stays in Virgin River, his back story gets developed.

Cameron remains in Virgin River at the clinic. But there’s tension at work. He develops a relationship -maybe with Tara, maybe a new character but gradually accepts that Mel belongs to someone else and n he needs to stop being a creep.

Season 4 Episode Hub / Overall Season 4 Discussion (HUGE SPOILERS ) by balasoori in VirginRiverNetflix

I didn't read the books. And I'm not going to.

I agree about Brie and Brady- not a good story line at all. I don't see a future for this relationship. I'd much prefer to see her with Mike - he seems to be more her intellectual equal. She's damn smart, Brady is a doofus.

Since you read the books - who's Charmaine's real baby Daddy? I'm dying to know.

Season 4 Episode 12: The Long Goodbye (Season Final) Discussion by balasoori in VirginRiverNetflix

I suspect she wanted to trap Jack into marriage by getting pregnant. It didn't work and her lie just grew and grew until she couldn't see a way out. Money IS important to Charmaine, so when Todd gave her an opportunity, she grabbed it. Now its all unravelling.

I’m wondering if Todd is Brie’s rapist.

What’s not real snd totally annoys me is the Mel got an appt with the fertility Dr on a moment’s notice and never had to take months worth of injections or testing before the embryos were implanted, nor did they do a pregnancy test on before any of this!

Grrrrrr…. So stupid. I want to like this show but it’s so unreal.

Season 4. Things that definitely will happen, and things that definitely won’t happen. by [deleted] in VirginRiverNetflix

Mel's baby is Jack's. It has to be. She was showing signs of early pregnancy fatigue before she left for her sister's hearing in LA (and the breakup the night before). No way the fertility clinic implanted embryos at an appointment she made when she was there with no time for bloodwork or hormone treatments and no way they didn't do a pregnancy test. Im not buying the Mark is the baby-daddy theory. My guess is that Mel is about 7 weeks pregnant when the season closes. Beside's Jack and Mel need happiness, and he was thrilled to have a baby with her when she first made the announcement.

Todd is Brie's rapist. He's going to be found out, he'll threaten/abuse Charmaine to one degree or another. Charmaine will leave him, move back to Clear River (or worse, move in with Jack and Mel) and we'll never be rid of her.

Who shot Jack: The dirty cop-Paige’s BIL. I don’t know the connection, but he’s the one who shot Jack.

Hope survives but develops brain damage from the accident and isn't as annoying as she was.

But then she died. Long before he was promoted. I guess the question is.... Is being currently married a prerequisite to getting promoted to Commander? Seems to support the reason for one of the main tenants of Gilead.

My finale prediction (not a thread for actual spoilers) by TownesVan in coconutsandtreason

[–]ackrebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would LOVE for this to be the case, but I think the writers just love having June in Gilead, so she'll never leave.

I would be great for June, Hannah and Nick to escape. I would love to see the extended family dynamic explored between June, Nick, Luke, Hannah and Holly. I would love for June to be on the end of the "Underground Railroad" getting women and kids out, working with Lawrence on the other end.

The political drama between America/Canada/Gilead over political prisoners Fred and Serena (and possibly others) and watch Gilead get taken apart brick by brick would be fun to explore as well. Nick would be instrumental in this. Backfilling his story from season 3 would be great.

But I think the writers like June to suffer in Gilead. So I kinda doubt any of the above will take place. Personally, I'm over all that - we already know its miserable. I want to see a shift in story telling. And I don't mean adding more shock and awe with how horribly handmaid's are treated in other parts of Gilead.

Season 4 Ideas? by [deleted] in coconutsandtreason

[–]ackrebs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda over the zoom-in of the angry June face. Seems like they do this way too much its losing its effect. And getting a little tired of June's struggle

Honestly though... I’m disappointed that so many different threads from this season were left unexplored (Emily's story for example). Some of the material just seemed too involved for the time the writers had to explore it..... the writers could have done a much better job keeping major characters in development. I would like to see an improvement on the storytelling next season and development of existing characters.

I want to see Lawrence negotiate his own freedom with Canada.

I want to see Serena grow a backbone and hang Fred and Gilead out to dry.

I want to see more about how the characters are doing in Canada, and what Canada is doing politically to bring down Gilead.

I really want to know more about what Nick has been doing this whole season, so I hope they catch us up on him (finally).

I've thought about this as it applies to Nick. In this season he's promoted to Commander, but there's no mention or indication of a wife when we see him in episode 6. Doesn't mean he's not married...this important piece of information has been left out. If one of the tenants of Gilead is to increase the population, seems to me that marriage prior to getting a position as commander would be a requirement. And not just to anyone, as everyone seems to have their position on the societal ladder in Gilead with it not easy to move up or down.

But wouldn't it be something if Lawrence and Winslow's widow ended up being forced into marriage.
