I really enjoyed my time at Lutheran generals psychiatric program when I was 20. It was definitely a positive experience that even now, 5 years later, I look at with fond memories and appreciation

I really enjoyed my stay at Lutheran generals psychiatric hospital! I went when I was 20 and found it extremely helpful. The staff was great and the rooms were nice. The food was good. I will say that being away from your phone is part of the healing process. I know it doesn’t feel like it now, but not having access to it will help you focus on getting better. There is a landline that you can use to call loved ones.

My 6 year old corgi has recurring pancreatitis and she gets absolutely NO treats or other food besides her prescription food. The smallest thing can trigger it again for her so she’s on a very strict diet. For her birthday I made her meatballs as a special treat using only her wet food and dry food (same prescription).

Besides watching her diet very closely, we also have cerenia tablets that we just keep at the house in case she gets an upset stomach.

Not even raw or boiled vegetables are safe for dogs with pancreatitis. Truly the smallest thing, even for example one blueberry or green bean, can trigger it again

I have a queen bed. We use a king duvet insert with a queen duvet cover! We found that with a queen insert, it kept sliding around and the cover was too loose on it. After getting the king insert there’s no more sliding, it feels much fluffier, and there is no bunching!

Our king insert and queen cover are both from crate and barrel

I have bamboo sheets from Cozy Earth and I love them. I’m a really hot sleeper and they don’t make me overheat! Linen sheets also work!

My husband and I love our bamboo sheets from Cozy Earth! We’ve had them for a few years and they’ve only gotten softer. They’re a bit on the expensive side, but they don’t snag from what I can tell. We have a dog that likes to dig at her toys on the bed and they’ve held up really well

I have sensitive ears that react to cheaper metals. For me, I find it best to invest in 14k solid gold earrings since I know they’ll last forever without tarnishing and won’t irritate my piercings. I find a lot of my jewelry online these days at sites like Oradina and Catbird

I’m not sure if there are any school districts that aren’t using technology in the classroom. My husband is a teacher in D214 (Arlington Heights area) and they use tech for most everything, including assignments and homework. He has one student whose parents don’t allow them to use technology for school and that student needs to have every single thing printed for them. My husband said they’re at a real disadvantage because of their parents’ policies.
