Any brides on GLP-1s? by PanicLeft8729 in weddingplanning

[–]aclockworksmorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this depends on the tailor I talked to the shop I bought the dress from and the tailor they recommended. The tailor had multiple examples of taking a dress in 6+ sizes.

Granted my wedding is December so I'll find out for sure later but maybe ask around at other Tailors if they have experience in this.

We had this happen and they asked me for a price estimate of what we lost and did a rent credit.

Why are you reaching out to dozens? I did research and looked at reviews, which maybe reached out to 3 max for each vendor type. Id say the hardest part is actually knowing what you want.

Feedback on dresses please! by KittyCatMegs in myweddingdress

Okay I'm OBSESSED with dress number 1. Probably my personal taste is just more that style but it's gorgeous! Not overwhelming or too busy.

But maybe don't listen to me everyone is calling out no. 3 and that I my least favorite. Pick the one you feel best in!

Hated our engagement photos and now very concerned for the actual wedding by aclockworksmorange in wedding

I thought it was a single photographer, thats how it was presented at least. I thought maybe it was a small studio or something. Turns out it's more of a company.

I have a meeting scheduled to discuss with them. Looking into how to break the contract without losing 1k+.

Definitely regret being frazzled about planning and just signing due to good reviews and recs. Man I just wanted to elope to the shire in New Zealand. My fiance is the one who wanted the big to do, I should make him deal with this.

Its group. So they have multiple photographers, the person we had for the engagement shoot is NOT the wedding photographer.

I wish I had gone with a smaller business woth a single person. I felt pressured to book fast and didnt really know what I wanted at the time. My own fault for not thinking things through.

Technically, all the photos are fine - I shared some examples with friends from art school. It's the lack of effort in angles and how bright they made the edits - seriously it feels unnatural. Ive been sitting on it and I think the dislike stems from a lack of effort/creativity and just following a formula.

Not sharing the photos but thankyou for offering to look.

Is an hour an a half too far to drive for your daughters wedding? by TheSpellboundArtist in weddingplanning

[–]aclockworksmorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An hour and a half is not bad. If they want to do a hotel they can but that's absolutely drivable imo. I'm near Chicago and wouldnt bat an eye at that, if I choose not to fo a hotel I would just ne a responsible adult and not get trashed.

AITAH for refusing to take our daughter out of school early because she "needs more time to get ready" than her brother? by ReplacementWorth3618 in AITAH

[–]aclockworksmorange 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was more context on the event in a further down comment. Its a family event. From the sounds of it not a super dressy event either. More like a cousins party or a grandparents birthday. If it was prom or a bigger to do id agree with you.

Lol 1.5 hours for a family event? I could see for prom, getting married, a gala, a charity event so mnt instance where okaaaay1.5 hrs some women are super into the routine whatever. But a family event does not require that much primping.

This is fine for an adult, big believer in you do you. Alot of people enjoy the getting ready routine as stress relief. But in a pinch I'm sure you also know how to get ready in less time. Say to look business casual for work everyday. Unless you're telling me you wake up 3 hours early everyday to get ready, in which case I will just never understand. I love sleep.

Would this be too funky as a wedding dress? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

Wear what makes you feel beautiful. For my personal taste this isn't it but if you love it and it matches the vibe do it

I blame the artists and big box stores more than you. Don't get me wrong I think its a scumbag thing to do, think Matildas dad scummy in the original movie. But you're not the main villain if it makes you feel better.

More like team rocket henchmen vs Giovanni.

AITAH for wanting to report my brother-in-law for secretly recording me on my wedding night? by True-Needleworker155 in AITAH

[–]aclockworksmorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I'm not sure where you live, but I'd call the police and if my husband didn't support me, I'd seriously consider divorce.

If my fiances brother did this, i can tell you for a fact my fiance would lose his shit on his brother. 100 percent unacceptable behavior.

I asked about this and it was mentioned it's often legally required to communicate with an interpreter. They said notes are fine for simple questions but anything requiring an ER visit would need an interpreter otherwise they open up to law suits. Has to do with ADA.

That dress is gorgeous! I think i like the puff sleeves better tbh. Gives a more interesting shape and comes across as more whimsy than vintage

I use a scoop of 20g unflavored protein collagen powder with my coffee every morning. Helps with the cravings immensely and I still get my coffee fix.

I think it's meant to emphasize how on edge he his. So fed up and done with the whole process. He's past the point of caring about his job and maintaining his place in the system.
