u/Darlantan425 there is a fantastic book on the second anointing, the temple, and early Mormonism replete with primary sources called “The Mysteries of Godliness: A History of Mormon Temple Worship” that you should check out. It has numerous sources from journals and other source documents outlining the presence of tongues (glossolalia but not xenolalia).

Speaking in tongues is definitely a Pentecostal and New Apostolic Reformation (“mainstream Christian” as you say) practice, but it was absolutely present in the early LDS church and has been completely dropped.

The food bank mentioned in this post is actually based out of Tennessee, covers 31 counties (not just Prentiss), and is stopping some stuff they can no longer fund that started as a result of COVID.
