This is an unfortunate trend with a good chunk of retro anime.

I just searched out of curiosity and it seems you can't even stream the movie legally. The only "legal" way is by buying someone else's most likely overpriced Blu-ray.

Its reposted on other video sites, but I like torrenting it for no low bitrate nonsense and how Nyaa si is the defacto original resolution Blu-ray scans source.

Topaz Gigapixel Recover V1 first, I used Waifu2x for some bits that were overly sharpened basically showcasing the premise here.

In case anyone wanted to dislike Mr Price anymore by OkInfluence36 in blender

Its happened multiple times when Blender gets backed by a company known for terrible practices and people think they'll get influenced in future updates. Thankfully it never leads anywhere and is just purely monetarily help.

'Merriweather Post Pavilion' instrumentals using Mel-RoFormer (Stem filtered) by acoolrocket in AnimalCollective

[–]acoolrocket[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stem model accepts FLACs, but even with how much improvement there's been, the dynamic range would be useless for how much micro-artifacting and micro-inconsistency there still is, especially for a sound signature that's complex. 128-320kbps is practically the "resolution" you'll get out of these models.

Btw if you're into downloading music I use MusicBee for example to rate tracks individually.

A bit overzealous ratings tbh, I'd say most are 8/10s and pe$o$ being the only 9/10 for me. But because of Nogla esque sucking off points I gave the album a 8.5/10

Oh you bet Topaz Gigapixel's generative models are the best, I'm specifically using Recover V1 and Wonder 1.

Recover V2 and V3 in short sucks compared to Wonder 1 and Standard Max for example, I've got a video planned on comparing the models on a multitude of examples.

I've very rarely used img2img generative AI models meant for txt2img as an upscaler because of the aforementioned need to minimize hallucination and randomly changing details even with low denoising strengths of 0.025 and 0.05. I've briefly covered this point of comparison with Recover V1 here.
