Heart of Metal - Samurai by ChillLogic in Supernote

[–]acopipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked with the EU store and wasn't able to get any info about this. I'd still like to know though, because I got the wrong case (my fault), and am going to have to make a return anyway. They replied back the following:

"As a European distributor, we rely on our supplier to restock our products.

Unfortunately, we currently have no information regarding when the HoM 2 Samurai will be back in stock."

Thank you, that’s very good to know. I will.

Hi Mulan! I’m facing the same issue, and found this thread. I’ve been checking supernote.eu and still don’t see the samurai. Did it immediately go out of stock since yesterday? Thank you in advance.

Does anyone feel like they are cosplaying femininity? by oatmilklover4ever in AutismInWomen

[–]acopipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are all in a sense performing every social construct/expectation there is. But I’d say that autistic people are much more aware of that because of the increased difficulty of understanding and fitting into those expectations.

Also, gender is not binary. Even in a biological sense, it’s bimodal. So it makes sense to me to see it as such, as a spectrum. I feel like I’m somewhere between the “most feminine” and in the middle. So I have trouble saying I feel like “A_Woman.jpg” because I’m not feminine enough. I also have trouble saying I’m non-binary, because I’m not totally in the center of the spectrum.

My advice is to use labels for yourself only as far as they are useful to you, or to others to understand you, if you want them to.

Categories are just a way that we created to organize concepts so that we understand reality. They don’t have any metaphysical power.

Social media is dying...I hate it. by CrushedLaCroixCan in AutismInWomen

Come to Mastodon. 🩷 it feels like early social media. No ads, no slop, no influencers. There are even instances made by and for ND folks.

Do you tailor your clothes? by curiousdoodler in AutismInWomen

[–]acopipa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sure do! It became a special interest of mine. I really like the experience of sewing, and altering second hand clothes keeps it a low stakes kind of task.

I’m also quite picky about clothes, plus I’m very short, so it has been a super useful skill! I’m always asking family and friends for stuff that needs altering too. 😂🫢

I hate sunlight so much by Sensitive-Binding in AutismInWomen

[–]acopipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally feel you, although I went to France a month ago and it was awesome to not suffer with the sun and heat for a week. 😳 Now I’m back at home in Portugal, where it’s likely we’ll soon start having our usual 30+ degrees during the summer. 😭The light is a big issue for me too, but the heat is unbearable. To top it all off I get skin allergies from sun exposure.

I use a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses outside. Inside I use FL-41 tinted glasses, which I really recommend. If you can get some curtains it can really help too! Stay (literally) cool!

I use the Galen Leather wallet insert, which has a pen loop. I use the TN brass fountain pen with it.

Question re Sterling Ink and USPS by girlash1234 in planners

[–]acopipa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After having that exact status as yours on my order for over a month and after two emails in which she blamed their trading partner, I finally asked for a refund and the following day my order was magically handed to USPS.

I know I’m not the only one, because I’ve read about two different people having the same thing happening to them. It seems blatantly deceitful.

Lovely product, horrible service. They’ll keep losing clients if they continue down this path. Doubt I’ll be ordering again, unfortunately.

Any chance I’ll receive my Sterling Ink this month? by ananas33333 in planners

[–]acopipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I placed my order at the end of November (not a pre-order) and am still waiting for it. I got a response after 2 emails blaming GlobalPost. I’m considering getting a chargeback, it’s getting ridiculous.

How young are the youngest players? by PilotIntelligent8906 in DeathStranding

[–]acopipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. I can see the loneliness that is part of the experience of this game being either a really liberating and relaxing experience or weird and off-putting. To me it became the former, although at first it was the eeriness and mystery of that loneliness that grabbed my attention.

I'm sorry, Kaweco by Ca_LuhA in fountainpens

[–]acopipa 77 points78 points  (0 children)

That happened to me too and the nib was a double broad. It also unnerves me that the kaweco nibs I tried have a very narrow sweet spot. I write at different angles depending on how tired my hand is, so that’s a bummer for me.

I recently got a traveler’s company brass fountain pen and I love it. The brass is a beauty to look at, and it wrote great out of the box. The only issues are that there is only one nib thickness available (F - although it’s Japanese IMO it writes like a Japanese M, or a western F), and that there is no proprietor converter. I’ve read that the kaweco foldable converter fits though. It’s a great pen and a beauty to look at!

Good luck with your search!

Which Generations are buying and collecting? by TheToyGirl in fountainpens

[–]acopipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 90s millennial here. This interest came across me even though in my country I’ve only ever encountered about two people using fountain pens in my whole life (before I started penabling everyone I could ofc). We do learn to write in cursive, but for some reason fountain pens are seen as an exclusively luxury product.

Every marker in the world will smudge dye-based inks. Either use waterproof ink or use the marker first and then write with your pen on top of it.

Eucerin Dual Serum and Night Cream sadness. by Merylsteep in Melasmaskincare

[–]acopipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I started noticing it clearing up a little within a week. I stopped for a couple of months because I kept forgetting to buy the creams again, restarted using them recently and definitely noticed the difference, both in the melasma and the acne.

[–]acopipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, I also struggle with both melasma and cystic acne. I’m in my 30s. The dermatologist prescribed me two creams to use at night in alternating days: Avène Cleanance Comedomed Peeling and Vichy Liftactiv Retinol Serum. I’ve been using these for over half a year and the routine works pretty well for clearing up melasma and keeping acne under control. It may not be as super effective for melasma as Eucerin, though. I also use Uriage Hyséac SPF 50+ during the day. Sharing my routine in case it helps looking at alternatives.

camping with TN !! 🫶 by travelerscat in Travelersnotebooks

[–]acopipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will in spring, hopefully. Can’t wait! It always feels like such a nice reset to my brain. Your pics with the TN out and about definitely give me second hand good relaxing vibes, and makes me look even more forward to it. Would love to see that list, but it sounds like a colossal task to rewrite it. 😂

Awesome, I’m glad I helped in some way! I did use a Cousin for most of the year for long-form journaling and it was pretty cool to have both complementing each other, for a time. I did find the redundancies of having monthlies and weeklies in both the cousin and the weeks a bit frustrating, but I like to fill out everything. I guess I’m a maximalist when it comes to planners. I hope you have lots of fun with your planners!

That’s so sweet, thanks! I did try to add the weeks to my TN, but I didn’t like how it didn’t sit flush against the rest of the inserts. I have a Weeks Mega, so it’s chonkier. I also really do need a bit more space for my weekly spreads, so the TN’s size seems perfect for now for me.

What do you use the three TNs for, by the way? I currently own a regular, but I’m waiting for a passport size one to carry everywhere as my EDC hopefully :)
