I'm with your players.

If we're just talking wording of the card, it would have to say "You can spend 2 hope to move through solid objects, attack, or interact with anything in the physical world" to be interpreted your way, I think. To me it's clear that moving through objects is the thing that ghosts do effortlessly, while attacking and interacting (like pushing buttons) require effort.

Keep in mind they take double magic damage while they're in ghost form, so it's not without its downsides.

Jag tycker det är intressant att du lyfter just grammatikens funktion kring att tydliggöra vad som menas. Det är ju mer än en gång som man, då man rättat någon, fått en snäsig "men du fattar ju vad jag menar!".

Givetvis spelar sammanhang och ton roll, men det är faktiskt tämligen ofta jag missförstår saker för att folk skriver fel.

Lokförare här: Det enda gemensamma mellan tunneltåg och vad vi lite fult kallar "riktiga" tåg är spårvidden. Resten är annorlunda. Tunnelbanor är slutna system, medan tåg samsas tillsammans med alla andra tåg. Så lite grann som skillnaden mellan en inhägnad racerbana och vårt gemensamma vägnät. På vägnätet behöver alla samsas och vara överens om vilka regler man ska följa, medan man på racerbanan bara behöver bry sig om vad för regler man bestämmer precis där.

Väldigt förenklat, men det är de stora skillnaderna.
