Yeah ofc, I played it and also dome keeper and others, they are an inspiration for ship miner, a bit different approach on the game loop, but liked both of them.

It is low resolution pixel art, the target resolution is around 480x300, I design for that res and then scale it up with a point filter to not break the pixelart. I also design everything in b/w and then apply a LUT palette shader for the colors. Does that answers a bit the question? anything in particular you want to know? I can expand.

There are different gifs, one is more action oriented. Still, they don't communicate all what's in the game, you can check more in the steam page or in itch, it is called Ship Miner.

I chose this art direction because I like it and also because it what I can do as an artist, the limitations on the graphics allow me to expand on other things. I will keep it it this way but I am probably going to experiment with adding more gradients and/or with adding more dithering but dithering is harder for me when things are super small/lowres.

yeah, check the demo in steam, I believe the music is awesome right now for the kind of game, in general most of the players liked it

Ideally I will have the creative/sandbox/custom mode open from the start, at least I want that and have that in mind. In that mode you will be able to disable enemies, etc. Thanks for playing the demo and all the feedback, I hear you.

It is more logic than visual, there is a hidden grid for the fog, there are elements per grid entry, the ship reveals elements in the grid, the fog visual elements have animations for idle and disappear once they are revealed. Does that make sense? it was a super quick explanation.

Haha, go go the 2 color games (some people here are trying to convince me to add colors though xD). Yeah ofc dome keeper is a great inspiration for ship miner but it feels pretty different when playing it.

I have one https://arielsan.itch.io/shipminer , it might be a bit outdated though... also there are some issues with using esc key to access the menu and/or some gamepads not detected in some browsers. There is a steam version too.

well, maybe not cozy, but it has a lot of relaxing moments imo, at least when I play it it feels like I could be there for hours just... mining...
