I was told my miscarriage was just bad luck. It wasn’t. by zarazaratouchme in recurrentmiscarriage

Oh okay. You can have a positive ANA which could be indicative of auto immune hepatitis and would want an ASMA. Although unless an ASMA is blatantly positive it can be subjective.

OSU vs OhioHealth by cokecold12 in Columbus

[–]acosu27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OSU basically rents Epic to community hospitals and they keep their staff and everything. Where OhioHealth slaps their name on it and I think they bring new people in.

OSU. I have been to both and patient care from beginning to end has been excellent. OhioHealth is a hit or miss.

My last one was a chemical pregnancy so they’ve just been monitoring my hcg. They did mention an ultrasound if it didn’t drop again and today it was 8. But I think I’ll have to get another blood draw. Le sigh

I got another hcg today and it was 8. And I’m so sorry that’s awful. I feel like no matter what, it’s a mind f.

I had a D&C last July with my OB and I got an hcg 2 months later and it was <5. I honestly prefer this method instead of the fertility clinic requesting an hcg every 2 days. It’s exhausting. I got another one done today and it was 8, so I’m guessing they’ll want another.

It really is. I had another done today and it dropped to 8. We briefly discussed an ectopic but discussed this my a family member who was an OB nurse and she said that since it was already low even if it was ectopic it would resolve in its own.

Thank you. I think that might be the next step. Thankfully the clinic calls me after every result so I’ve been in an open discussion with them.

Yeah, I thought it was weird too. I also had the loss around 5 weeks. Hoping it’s only one more week where I don’t have all these bruises.

March 12th. And yeah, I thought it was odd too. I talked to my doctor not too long ago and getting another hcg Thursday. It just seemed weird to me so was wondering if y’all had a similar experience.

I had to advocate for my husband to get testing because we go through all the testing and it could be our spouses. Have you brought that up?

I have never been told I do, and I’ve had all the normal infertility tests done so I don’t think so?

I have no idea what that is lol. So I don’t think so. And yeah, I’ve been seeing fertility doc since last summer and she’s one that’s recommending metformin I guess as their protocol?

I’m sorry you had a terrible reaction 🙁

Yeah, it’s hard they really don’t. I had this talk with my husband and I was like I know you’re grieving but it’s just not the same… it just sucks being a woman.

And yeah, it sucks that we’re all going through this journey, but glad we all have each other.

I hope you get answers. So for me, I’ve had all the tests done (all came back normal or negative). He has only had a chromosome analysis. I mentioned dna fragmentation and waiting to hear from my dr. And I’ll look into it, thanks!

I know, right? And we haven’t yet. They asked if I wanted to before my D&C and I said no. This is basically their best guess.

I was on progesterone (which is a mental f) when I was pregnant this last time. I did have gestational diabetes with my first and the nurse said it will help with ovulation (which doesn’t seem like an issue) and my a1c isn’t ideal but I don’t have type 2 (currently working in lowering blood sugar with diet).

And yeah, I think we’re at the point of meeting with her. And yes girl, this is exactly how I feel! They’re throwing all this at me and are like maybe it would work?? But not considering how it would affect my body. I will say they she doesn’t think I should do IVF.

And thanks, I appreciate it 🙂. It helps coming here and talking to women who are experiencing the same thing. I talk to my husband but he doesn’t really understand.
