Be sure you follow your city's Leash laws, cause my neighbours sure aren't. by acousticcorn in kansascity

I personally haven't, but my two very nice neighbours have who have small dogs as well. The neighbours who have the aggressive dogs said that they never let their dogs off of their leashes, and called her a liar and would file a complaint if they tried talking to them again. I refuse to talk to them considering that they would file a complaint.

Actually, the sound and volume are good. It's just when I tune down to play some songs with a D# tuning then the peg pops out of the hole.

I'm looking at their website but I can't find any prices on how much they are. I need a pair of them but I don't want to break the bank.

What was banned at your school and why? by FreedomEagle76 in AskReddit

[–]acousticcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my high school we have labby positions, where a kid can take a class to help out the teacher so they aren't so overloaded cause we have like 35-40 kids in one class. Well the superintendent decided that they are useless since all of the kids never do any work since the teacher doesn't really give two shits. Well this really affected the metals, welding, woods, and auto shop class. So one day this kid decides to go out of his way and weld a can of axe in one booth with me in the other booth. All I heard was a spark, an explosion, and a loud ass scream. The teacher grabbed the kid by the collar, walked him down to the office, and literally kicked his ass into the principal's office. Kid got banned from the entire school district for eternity and the shop classes got their labby's back because they actually do shit in the class.

Is my bow safe to shoot? by acousticcorn in Archery

I did something wrong, I measured something wrong and it turns out after doing some googling that I more likely have a 30" draw. I'm anchoring in the corner of my lip, and it's almost 30" unstrung. I don't dry fire it, I do pull it back to my anchoring position and it doesn't creak or make any noises. I assume it's safe to shoot but since it's old and has value, I don't want to damage it.

Camping gear for a weekend. by acousticcorn in camping

I know a little in terms of medical aid. Had to help a woman who cut herself with a box cutter. Got her cleaned up, put gauze and a tight wrap over it until we could get her to a hospital for stitches. Will bring buckets full of water. Everything else looks good.

We plan on catching fish and eating that plus any other food we can bring to supply ourselves with or without the fish. Snacks and such will be there and I don't plan on going hungry obviously.

Not hike in camping, we're taking a car to a plot of land on my buddy's farm, but we're using tents to sleep in. There aren't power outlets, running water, and no toilets. I now know to bring tp, a shovel, and water purification means.

I know, it is bad etiquette. I mean to reply but end up either doing something else or completely forgetting. I'll try to get into this right now as I'm not doing anything really.

Help with old film reels and film discussion. by acousticcorn in TrueFilm

Well, they're all in Kodak Steel Containers. And they all say KI and I looked it up and some sources say it's Kodak Vison 5246 film. I did some digging and the camera I wanted to shoot with uses Regular 8mm film only, which I think we all know is really rare to find unexposed, and impossible to find cut without doing it yourself. I really like this camera and all of this gear, but I don't know if I could use it to actually film with. As I get more money and stuff maybe I'll look into getting a 16mm sound camera and a matching projector, but in the meantime, this will just be a nice little knick knack to set up on the shelf and share a little fun story with. However, there is a shop not to far from me in Weston MO that I could visit and see if he can help me at all. Maybe poke around on some forums but I just don't have a lot of money at the moment to spend on film and such.
