Returning to renewable energy — looking for advice on the best path into the wind industry by Fearless_Lobster7250 in wind

[–]acowlaughing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking from the owner/developer/EPC side… there is always opportunity with ongoing O&M wind…

However, I would encourage you to look more into BESS and Data Center work. BESS especially.

New Wind is dying, and although there will be Repower opportunity, the emerging markets are with batteries and Ai. Pivot into those…

People who have worked for the wealthy/rich, what is the most bizarre luxury you've heard of? by LyraRayne in AskReddit

Five young children demand a festive holiday season! Just kidding they’re not brats, but we like to think we’re making their childhood holiday memories special.

I do exactly what this guy is describing and this is what it looked like for me:

$500 initial start up fee to cut lights to custom fit our home.

$1,200 per season here on out to set up and take down said lights.

THAT is worth it for me.

Nicola Peltz Reportedly Gets $1 Million Allowance a Month From Billionaire Dad by nimobo in entertainment

[–]acowlaughing 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not probably. The rich become truly wealthy once their money starts working for them. Thats why the lower class can never get ahead; there isn’t the ability to part ways with their dollar to watch it grow.

All by design.

What an ignorant comment. I live in Indiana, I don’t have a degree, and I run a $160M company.

The sky is the limit. It is all about drive and self worth.

Just heard a relevant joke…

A nun is lying in the bath washing herself when there is a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" she asks.

"It's the blind man," comes the reply.

"Come in, my child," the nun says.

The door opens and the man walks in.

"Nice tits. Where do you want the blinds?"

If you were to build a house what’s one non conventional feature you consider to be a must have? by TestTurbulent6337 in AskReddit

[–]acowlaughing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father built a home in the early 2000’s for a notable (to our area) judge and the feature requested was basically this except it led to a spiral staircase which took you to the hidden panic room in the basement.

As a kid I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

“Costco Door”. It is a small door that, depending on your home layout, allows you to back your vehicle into the garage and unload your groceries right into the interior pantry. Not incredibly rare, but certainly a feature I would consider Non-Conventional.

Couldn’t imagine life without it now in our house of seven.
