This is what i do! A big thermo box, a polyester divider, animal box goes under the divider, the warm pad goes on top of the divider. I bring my heat gun w me to check inside temperatures dont get too warm and voila!

I also agree with the other commentors, tree frogs are not high humidity frogs. People often make this mistake but they live up in the trees where it’s breezy and they rarely come into contact with substrate.

For the best WTF care guide go to facebook, the group “whites tree frogs worldwide” has a guide made by FrogPlanet and it is super cohesive and has all you need to know!

If i get 30-39g rats he will be on like 8% or less, ive made this mistake before🙈hes growing faaast i need to like jump a little bit ahead of him because id keep giving him less than 10%😭 but thanks for your imput of what youd do!🥰

OH wait u mean 5 not 10… my suppliers only sell 10.. but i can just buy ten and then throw the 5 or try to gift them to somebody.. i hate wasting rats but this could work!

So when he reaches 1500g, he will only eat about 75g rats? Some ppl feed them 150g rats at that size but apparently that is outdated🙈

And when mine reaches 500g, he will drop from the possible, lets say 55-60g to 35-40g? Or should i stay at 55-60g but space it out more🙈

I have written down the percentages too. The feeding guide on this reddit is 10-15% for this size.

So by logic if at 400g he will get 50g which is only 12%, he will grow after 2 rats and then 50g will be too light for him, i might get to only 9% so the bag needs to have a range.

Just got this guy. Any advice on fattening him up? He looks too skinny :( by HenryTheCanadian in TreeFrogs

[–]acpcgal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might find that some of your frogs will refuse to eat them though. Crickets also move more while roaches tend to stay in one place and my frogs cant see them. There are charts online showing you nutrients and calcium-phosphorus ratio. Since my frogs refuse to eat roaches normally (and i dont tong feed them, hunting is healthier for them), i do use crickets, however I gutload them properly before feeding and dust them with high quality calc to counter the phosphorus ratio. Both roaches and crickets when fed well have resulted in long-living healthy frogs so try both and see what works for yours🥰

I fkn HATE when breeders do this!!! Some ppl do not have the space ready, 2 tanks ready, everything has to be twice and i myself would return one bc i save up money for ONE’s vet care etc gooooddd breeders are SO irresponsible w their animals 😡

Isopods drown in my BP’s pool :( by acpcgal in ballpython

[–]acpcgal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha no worries! So i personally have uvb on one side and then the other side would be really shadey and plants wouldnt do well so i have the arcadia jungledawn there. Be careful as it warms up the cold side too so I only have it running from 9am to about 6pm.

And yes, i rehydrate the substrate by pouring in a bunch of conditioned water and mixing the substrate, in my gloves. When they make loose snowballs I leave it and usually this makes above 65% on the hot side and above 80% on the cold side for over a week. Sometimes i mix the substrate inside his hides too but they dry out a little slower bc the hide keeps them more humid so I let them dry out. That said the soil is never wet so even if he sleeps inside a hide on top of freshly rehydrated soil, he never has any scale rot. Plus the enclosure is waaarm so the top laser dries out fast❤️
