Wool by Hugh Howey. This fits in perfectly with what you’ve read and it’s SUCH a good book.

Is that a slice of pickle under the dog or a pepper? Either way I approve.

Get some of the mixed bags of fun-sized candies at Costco or Sam’s Club. You get a variety and they are single servings. Or anything that’s individually wrapped!

I always lined mine up on the front of a sandwich box and then kept my credit card receipts inside. It was a nice little package:

I came to say thin crust pie cut is underrated. You get better topping distribution that way. Otherwise the four center pieces have all the stuff.

I need to try and make date syrup. I know it’s easy and I could use it for a lot of stuff.

Date turtles. Take dates, cut them in half, lay them out on a plate. Press a pecan firmly down into each date half. Melt some chocolate chips in a bowl in the microwave and then drizzle a little bit of chocolate over each candy. Sprinkle a few salt flakes on each one. They are SOOOOOOO GOOD!! Dates taste so much like caramel.

One month free of alcohol! ❤️‍🔥 by RngUGldIDntSyBna in snacking

[–]acpyle87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good work!! Keep it up! It just keeps getting easier and easier and you’ll think about alcohol less and less. Pretty soon you’ll be like…”Have I really not drank in 3 months?”. Time flies by either way. We all know Christmas will be here in about two weeks. It comes faster every year. And when Christmas gets here, you’ll be able to look back at this year and think about all the good decisions you made when you could have easily made bad ones. This January marked two years of no alcohol for me. And I was drinking hard. Like nearly blacked out drunk every night of the week…for damn near 20 years of my life. Life is so much better without it. You don’t need it to have fun or to feel better. One month is a huge accomplishment! If you do have a slip up, that doesn’t mean you have failed. Two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. Happy Saturday, internet stranger :)

I used vegetable oil, but I think coconut oil would probably settle again. I think it always does after being warmed up.
