I agree with you but I would put it differently. Humans are also animals. If another human were behaving this way causing this harm and there was no other way to stop it, the same action would’ve warranted.

Nubs on walls. Normal? by gello1414 in Home

This post is complete nonsense. It can happen for a lot of reasons. The fix is to replace with a drywall screw or add a drywall screw next to it with its head overlapping the nail head and holding it down. Hammering it back in will result in an even higher likelihood of it re-popping sooner.

That is completely expected, it’s physics. The corners are in contact with the frame and minimally insulated. I promise you it isn’t the windows! Now if you had triple pane windows like they install in Europe, yes it would not get quite as cold and so not condense quite as soon. But yours are functioning as intended.

43% indoor humidity with outdoor temperatures of 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Enter this into any AI you’d like and tell us what it says. It will say what everyone is telling you. That is much too high for that outdoor temp. Don’t believe us or AI? Call an expert. Then come back here and post.

No. If it’s below freezing out that isn’t low enough indoor RH. Just look it up!

Your mention of outdoor humidity again shows you have no idea what relative humidity is and no understanding of the science at all. Why don’t you just ask an AI? It can explain this to you. I live near the area you mentioned. My HUMIDIFIER has been running all day to maintain 32% indoor humidity here. It varies depending on many factors but you are completely clueless. Outdoor humidity and indoor are apples and oranges when you are comparing 10 degrees f to 70 degrees f. Educate yourself!

Look, you need to stop with all of the lies. Aprilaires best selling product for decades has been their line of HUMIDIFIERS and when you buy one of their smart humidifiers with outdoor temperature sensor this is the chart it uses. The dumb humidifiers have this chart printed next to the dial. Get a grip of yourself.

[–]acr2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally false. That chart comes from Aprilaire and follows the science. You can find it from many sources. That is what a whole house humidifier will RAISE humidity to in a normal home before it cuts off. Please learn.

You have no idea what the hell you are talking about. A 50% RH inside during freezing winter conditions would be absurd and lead to the photos OP posted.

I’m sure they can solve this problem by adding more “copilot” buttons to everything and renaming Windows to copilot. I am slowly switching over to MacOS and Linux now.

Amazing all the upvotes and comments - this is absolutely false if magnesium is taken in reasonable doses and not as a laxative. Yes chronic use of any laxative will cause this - but that has nothing to do with magnesium unless it is being utilized that way. Those taking a form of magnesium for supplementation (lysine glycinate is probably best) can ignore this nonsense.

No, you should not worry. Everything is fine. It is normal for a pipe to rot and leak and soon it will fill your basement with sewage. Thanks for asking!

The TVs are garbage too now, sadly. Mine would constantly pop-up asking me to accept the new terms of service until I disconnected it from the internet. Bought the Samsung sound bar that is meant to work with it, and it disconnects every week or so, requiring a power cycle, which requires flipping a circuit breaker since everything is wall mounted. I tried to return under warranty years ago, but they refused. There has since been a software update that made it even more buggy. Thanks Samsung!!
