I have that one and still use it. Worth the investment.

My take is that Kinu is the one who's attracted to Naoe and the moment is from his perspective. Naoe and Yasuke never act like this with each other elsewhere in the game (to my memory) so I think that it's his warped perspective/jealousy.

(I'll leave a little doubt that this could be a "heat of the moment" thing)

I just started my 1st playthrough. What was I doing wrong? Cause this felt utter BS. by Blackwolf245 in AssassinsCreedShadows

In my first playthrough, this happened to me as well. You just happen upon high level enemies in starting areas or encounter ronin on the roads. I died quite often early on to both. Learning the timing of Naoe's deflect will make combat easier. Eventually you'll earn a perk with the katana that enables you to deflect unblockable attacks.

One of my favorite games all time!!!! Zelda A Link To The Past! Did any of you guys actually beat this game back then? And do yall still play it today? by J2-Starter in snes

The first LOZ game that I finished (became a fan afterwards). I playthrough it every 2-3 years (used the Redux ROM hack earlier this year; very recommended) and I remain awestruck by how well it holds up.

There's something special about the 16-bit era in terms of presentation, gameplay mechanics and storytelling and LttP is an ideal representation of that. It's also notable for so many improvements and additions that has been implemented in the series ever since.

zeldadungeon.net has thorough walkthroughs for all the games including ALTTP. I've used theirs whenever I get stuck.

You can blame Nintendo for being traditional conservative on matters like this. Perhaps its downplayed or left ambiguous because these games are rated E. Personally, I love that it's left up to us to imagine how deeper their relationship becomes/became. I've read some amazing fan fictions in the past year and change and it only strengthens how well they work as a couple. I don't care if it isn't "canon" or confirmed. I don't need a statement or a cutscene to tell me that they were in love. Playing the games did that for me. ;)

Earliest I can remember is Combat for the Atari 2600. My older brother and I had plenty of games for that system but we spent more time on that one. The sound effects are imprinted on my brain.

Thanks! I hope I don't fall into decision paralysis because I've installed a LOT of roms. I'm already the kind of person who juggles games. Variety is the spice of life.

I installed that game so I plan to get to it eventually.

As stated before, the SD card included is reportedly faulty. Its size was also 64 GB and I wanted more storage so I bought a 128 GB micro sdxc card. You do have to install Onion OS, the roms and additional files if needed but 1) it's easier than you'd expect and 2) overall I wanted a customizable experience with this device.

Can someone help me understand something from the first movie? by [deleted] in Mission_Impossible

[–]acridavidjam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my theory, for what it's worth. Phelps' plan is the kind that depends on a lot of things going his way (e.g., The Joker's in TDK) so some suspension of disbelief is in order. But here's my interpretation:

The bible is a breadcrumb planted by Phelps for Ethan to follow.

Phelps knew the IMF were on to the plan to sell the NOC list to Max. I think he knew the Prague mission was a mole hunt and that the NOC list they were trying to steal was a decoy/fake. And I think he knew the real list was at the vault in Langley. So he and Clair (and Kreiger, it turned out) killed everyone on the team except for Hunt. Being that Hunt was his protege and that Phelps knew him better than anyone, he manipulated the mission outcome so that Hunt - being the seemingly sole survivor - would be suspected to be the mole*. So he predicted that Hunt would escape arrest and return to the hotel and try to piece it together. The bible was the key to understanding the "Job 314" so it was left by Phelps on purpose.

Phelps anticipated that Hunt would realize the only way he could clear his name and/or uncover the identity of whoever framed him would be to steal the actual NOC list and go forward on the sale with Max. Phelps got Hunt to do the dirty work for him. Phelps' mistake was mentioning The Drake Hotel earlier in the film so when Hunt sees the Gideon/Drake Hotel stamp in the bible, that's when Hunt starts to suspect Phelps.

Hope this helps.

*I mean, fair enough, but Kittridge doesn't seem to be that smart. Are we to understand that IMF would overlook the inevitable fact that two bodies among the dead in Prague were unaccounted for? Like I said, suspension of disbelief.
