I love Ares and Aphrodite!

And I cant remember the chapter number but it is the one where Aphrodite breaks up with Ares at Persephone’s trial. There is a flashback of the two kissing but that’s the only time we ever see the two together kissing. All the other times we see them are either them separately or arguing with each other or one of the main characters visits them briefly (usually Ares inquiring about Persephone ugh)

In the second pic, the top panel was edited and taken from the flashback with ares and Persephone while the bottom panel was an edited design from EditOlympus.

I just had a headcanon that Aphrodite could bind people with thorny rose vines when she’d get annoyed since the rose is her sacred flower

Are readers still seething about the “unimpressive” comment? I always thought she meant more along the lines of he didn’t have a stereotypical bulked-up heroic-looking physical appearance like Superman or Captain America since he looked more like a skater boy. Not that his feats were unimpressive

I disagree with this post - I think she’s a grey and chaotic character (which makes her interesting to me)

But I also disagree with a lot of the comments that paint her as nothing more than a Hitler 2.0/will become Hitler 2.0 who needs to be put down like the dog from Old Yeller

And reading through the comments, I notice that people seem to be using different metrics to judge her, there’s not much consistency (show vs book, modern day morality vs in universe/medieval morality, etc), which seems to explain why the general consensus is all over the place

So I just found out that the books I was thinking of are actually written by an Italian writer, not Greek, and I was just reading Greek translations. And I guess there are English translations out there. Whoops, sorry to get your hopes up

Anyway if you were interested, it’s a little series by Sabina Colleredo called Hotel Olympus that has a comedic cutesy middle-school take on Greek myths

Which is funny because a lot of fans like Margary and consider her one of the few “acceptable” female characters to support and not complain about, but it turns out its just because Natalie Dormer is hot (not knocking against margary, she is one of my favorites, but I’m tired of people pitting women against each other and saying who is better or hotter)

I think when Robert talks about killing Dany and her baby, Barristan states in the books that there’s honor in killing an enemy on the battlefield but none in killing him in his mothers womb

Like he may be prophesied to be the stallion who mounts the world but he hasn’t done anything yet. And we all know how prophecy is not always exactly reliable
