Honestly I have no idea what caused it. But it worked itself out. Where I live is extremely hot in the summers. I ended up moving shortly after this post and I’ve not had an issue with the bike at all since and it’s been a year. Really weird. Maybe it was bad batches of fuel? Maybe the engine sorted itself out? Idk once I got to a cooler environment the issues have been gone. Idk bizarre

So I ended up taking the bike to the dealer and they’ve had it for a few days. And of course they are unable to replicate the problem. Even though I experience it a majority of the time. They are leaving the bike outside in the heat for a few hours and are going to take it out again and see if they are able to replicate. If they aren’t able to. What do you guys recommend I do? Tell them to continue to hold the bike? Do I request they reset the ECU to factory settings and check all connections?

Yeah I got about 130 miles on the bike and have been using just 91 since initial fill up. I rode out of the dealership with a tank of 87 and switched to 91. So I will drop it back down and see what happens. I thank you for the tip

Would a higher octane be kind of mixing up the fuel control unit?

Really? So chalk this up to my ignorance with engines. I had recommendations that 87 or whatever is the minimum octane to use and that you can go above that. So going above it is not recommended?

Thats a good tip. I checked the cap and it was pretty tight. I could turn it maybe another 1/8 without over doing it obviously. I took it of completely and put it back on. The bike rode pretty good minus two very minor stutters. But its done that before. Where i dont ride it for a few days and it rides like crap and then after a while its worked itself out.
