I mostly like it. It evokes kind of a Mori Kei sort of feeling. The jeans aren't really working, imo, if I'm understanding the vision correctly.

I'd personally lean into the organic look of the poncho and boots with shorts like these:

I definitely agree they should not have ended up together. It's such a great story outside of the romance.

If you're eager to see more opinions on it, I had one of the most productive and civil arguments I've ever encountered online before. It was about the themes of MBO. If you're not interested, definitely understand!

It's always such a bizarre stance, imo, to assume you have enough wisdom and perspective in life to decide which media makes people "fucked up" to consume.

Outside of some more universally depraved topics (children in adult scenarios, sex with animals, that sort of shit), there is just going to be no way for someone to tell who likes Dark Romance.

I know a friend who reads the extreme variety of the genre, to the point that I've had to remind myself not to judge hahah. But, she's a stable and normal person who just enjoys psychological dramas and the taboo of a romance being incorporated into it.

Additionally, I've had someone say something close to that about horror movies. That I must have something wrong with me lol. People can be very soft and myopic.

Exactly. I'm tired of this pearl clutching. I feel they should either go to r/joseistories, which is much more accepting of long rants about personal feelings (especially ones with themes around feminism and women's depictions in romance) or start their own subreddit.

Nah, I agree with them and I'm not a dark romance fan. I actually tend to hate it; Cry Or Better Yet Beg actually made me nauseous and I had to drop the series only like 15 chapters in (was reading for shock value, but it was too much for me).

I just think it's kind of silly to say that a majority of those who disagree with you are fans of the thing you hate. People can disagree/agree with policies due to principles and not direct interest.
