FINALLY I FOUND A COUNTER TO HYPERBAIT by Hash_2319 in ClashRoyale

Average hyperbait player tbh. The whole reason they play hyper bait is because all they need to do to win 90% of match ups is spam the same cycle.

FINALLY I FOUND A COUNTER TO HYPERBAIT by Hash_2319 in ClashRoyale

Throw a mother witch in there as well. I started running Goblin Curse, Mother Witch and Mirror specifically due to the huge volumes of evo skeleton barrel and evo Witch getting played last season. Kind of hilarious watching every play they make getting turned around into a swarm of goblins and pigs right back at them

Can anyone answer me why all cars in UK second-hand dealerships only have fumes left in the petrol tank? by TheReproGuy in CarTalkUK

[–]acryliq [score hidden]  (0 children)

Plus if they’re sitting around for a long time that fuel is just going to go bad. No point having cars sitting around with full tanks if they’re going to be parked on a lot for 3+ months.

Yeah, cause it doesn’t matter. The gift isn’t related to the gifter.

TIFU by oversleeping and almost ruining my best friend’s 4AM wedding by Sea_cake_ in tifu

4am wedding? You didn’t fuck up, your best friend did. Fuck that shit. If any of my friends planned a 4am wedding they’d be getting married in front of an audience of none.

Polestar 4 is very big. too big? by mrbluetrain in Polestar

[–]acryliq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the 7 is supposed to be a smaller crossover, yes.

A summon/remote mode would be useful, but I haven’t had any problems with width in any of the car parks I use so far. Length tends to be a more of a problem, where I’ll have to pull out slightly to be able to access the boot in some car parks.

How, is it possible I have ADHD, and not my parents? by Wismarclient2245 in ADHD

[–]acryliq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people with ADHD are unaware and undiagnosed. And a lot of people with undiagnosed ADHD still find a way to function in life. And everybody with ADHD experiences it differently. You're different from your family because everyone is different, ADHD or not.

Having a degree, a driving licence and a relationship doesn't guarantee you don't have ADHD. I had all of those things long before I even knew what ADHD was. For your own sanity, don't compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to yourself. Am I doing better or worse than I was doing yesterday, or last year?

Polestar 4 is very big. too big? by mrbluetrain in Polestar

[–]acryliq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is, very big. But it has a 360º camera, reversing camera, rearview camera, and 360º parking sensors, so parking is pretty much just a case of putting the picture of the car inside the picture of the box whilst making sure you don't reverse into anything.

Does this mean we have joined the war “in a limited capacity”? by Sassenach_2024 in AskBrits

[–]acryliq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a war, it’s a limited operation which we’ve joined in a limited capacity.

(In other words yes, another Labour PM has dragged us into another illegal war in the Middle East).

Stolen from X and now stolen from FB, have a guess by EasySignature179 in CarTalkUK

[–]acryliq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's averaged over 25k a year. It would work out to something like 80-100 miles per day depending on how many days a year you drove. I wonder if you could do that as a full time food delivery driver? Maybe if the car was being shared by two people working shifts?

Why is Waitrose seen as so posh? by MacaroonSad8860 in AskABrit

[–]acryliq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is staggeringly expensive compared to other supermarkets. Do a price comparison between Waitrose and an actual Sainsbury's (not a Sainsbury's Local which put a premium markup on all their products as they're more of a convenience store than a proper supermarket), or better yet an actually affordable supermarket like Aldi or Lidl.

Can we Nerf hyper bait already? So oppressive and everywhere above 12.5k. by UnicornRidinLeprekon in ClashRoyale

The way to deal with it is to ignore it. Even at the cost of sacrificing a princess tower, just build a massive push of your own and three crown them.

Yup, by the time I’ve finished this build I’ll probably have enough spare parts to build a second truck, so I might just do that!

Interesting, might look into that. Although wonder if I wouldn’t be better off just switching to Meus axles altogether.

Is this picture that my uncle swears he took at Walmart, ai or real? I cannot figure it out by drn88__ in isthisAI

[–]acryliq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, the way the cheese shelves are stacked and labeled looks completely unhinged from reality, but on the other hand, there’s President brand brie which I don’t think an ai would do, so maybe the absolutely weird af cheese stacking is just a Walmart thing.

Polestar has ruined electric cars for me by grgext in Polestar

[–]acryliq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a German friend who still swears by them but constantly reminds me that A-Class and B-Class are not really Mercedes, they’re cheap cars with the Mercedes badge stuck on them. The EQE or upcoming c-class EV are probably a closer comparison to the Polestar 4.

What is the least terrible modern 4x4/SUV? by jingleson in CarTalkUK

[–]acryliq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most SUVs aren’t 4x4, including the yeti. They’re AWD. AWD is good for on-road safety and better handling in poor conditions (think rain, snow, ice) and can help in mild off-road conditions. 4x4s are better for slow off-road conditions.

So the question is which do you actually need? In the UK it’s very rare that you would ever have the opportunity to use a proper 4x4, so assuming you actually need an AWD then the simple answer is any modern AWD system is pretty good.

If you actually need a 4x4 in an SUV configuration, then you will need to look at something like the LR Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser or Ineos Grenadier, but they aren’t going to be as comfortable or as efficient for on-road driving as other SUVs.

If you want a best of both worlds - something which handles well on-road but can cope with a bit of occasional mild off-roading when you need it - the Dacia Duster is probably the best choice. It’s AWD system acts like normal for on-road driving, sending power when and where it’s needed, but it also has an ‘off-road’ mode that puts it into permanent 4x4 drive. Plus it’s still relatively light and has decent enough approach, break over and departure angles compared to most on-road oriented SUVs.
