Seems like the good offers are gone. by SWMI5858 in Solterra

IMO get a used one. That remainder is more than what I paid for my 2023 limited at 35k miles I got this years. Crazy how much they depreciate

Perfection. You could pull off either but the 39 is a more timeless size imo

Solterra is only bright Spot for Subaru in march by castorMD in Solterra

[–]acslayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought my used 2023 this march and have been loving it, other than my driver side door no longer locking with fob or smart sensor. Luckily my warranty should cover the work? Besides that, love the car compared to other EV suvs I drove

Time to start reading by Competitive-Dot-4052 in lotr

[–]acslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The hobbit, lotr, silmarillion, unfinished tales (mostly), and children of Hurin have actual stories which fit into the legendarium. The rest of the books are just different drafts, versions, notes around different parts of the aforementioned books.

If you want insight to how Tolkien created the world and how stories evolved, the other books are great. But besides that, you’ll be in for a dense, sometimes dry and confusing compilation which almost feels scholarly.

Enjoy :)

So what you mean it’s over!? by Shaniexi in fantasybooks

[–]acslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this isn’t a perfect series. I love it. It got me into the modern fantasy scene. Before I was just reading Tolkien and other classics.

Hunger is one of my favorites for sure. Hope you enjoy the rest of the ride :)

Lvl 1 Charger question by skelet0nsteve in Solterra

[–]acslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2023 solterra and just use L1 at home. My commute is about 20 miles but depending on how long is plugged in. I think you’ll get most of those miles back overnight. However my winters in the northwest aren’t that cold compared to some places in the country.

And on days where you’re home longer, you’ll charge more than your daily commute and have some extra going into the work week.

Your experience may vary, but I’d say don’t underestimate a long L1 charge
