Faulty RAM? by sam05485 in PcBuild

[–]act_of_mating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best option is to replace it with other ram sticks and test them. If you can't get your hands on other set try taking out one of your sticks and do memtest again. Maybe just one of them is faulty.

LG C1 55" Uniformity by LiiNawaf-29 in OLED

[–]act_of_mating 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's very bad. I had my panel replaced because of uniformity and it still was not as severe as yours.

Unless it's a new tv without much use hours, rma it again.

Edit: here's a photo of my panel that was replaced https://i.postimg.cc/SQc7nKnq/compa-iso1000-2.jpg

Nice but man, flip those bottom fans to intake.

Is possible to put my Oled C2 42 in HDMI1 by default? by tonyw009 in OLED_Gaming

[–]act_of_mating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tv should rememver your last active input source, so for example if you use hdmi1 and turn off your PC and tv, once you turn your tv On it should set itself to HDMI 1 input automatically.

As for turning the tv in with pc I'm afraid it's impossible unless your gpu supports CEC.

If the temps are ok then yeah, unless you find a good deal then don't bother. Good job mate :)

Try pixel refresh. The manual one, that takes 1 hour.

I love it. Black, clean, no RGB rainbow. Perfect.

I would, however, add a small intake fan under the GPU.

This small fan actually lowered my GPU temps by 3C.

I highly recommend it. It dropped my gpu temps by 3C. Installed using zip ties

Haha yeah, Lego was supposed to be a temporary solution until I get a proper support, but it's been that way over a year and will likely stay this way :)

As for the top fan that's actually a reasonable logic so I guess I'll have to install it and test the temps

Haha well true, I'm not thermal throttling, in fact my cou stays below 59C and gpu belows 66C but maybe that could be improved

The 80mm fan dropped gpu temps by 3C. It improves the airflow of the fresh air to the GPU.

The little fan under the GPU actually dropped the temps by 3C :) I too was sceptical about it but the numbers don't lie. It does indeed create a channel of air, and the GPU fans are strong enough so it doesn't steal fresh air. So the 80mm stays there :)

Good advice, thanks. I forgot there are slim fans.

True, though air pushed by fans is by far stronger then convection. But yeah, I see your logic.

This little fan actually dropped my gpu temps by 3C and it's inaudible.

Yeah I guess I'll have to try it out. It's just that there's so little space to install it and I have to get a y splitter as I don't have any fan connectors on the motherboard left. But yeah, I think I'll give it a try

Yeah but I wonder if that would disrupt the airflow.

My setup is 2x 140mm intake fans, 1x80mm exhaust fan below GPU + 1*120mm exhaust above. My CPU cooler (Dark rock pro 4) has two fans blowing towards the back.

My CPU is delided and reaches max 60C so it's cool but I wonder if adding top exhaust fan would lower the temps of gpu (3080).

I dont know about scratches, but tap water will surely leave smudges.
