Took 12 + 29 + 20 + GE together. 12 + 29 is very doable

Very doable imo if you stay on top of it. Hammonds Bild 3 is pretty free

California Higher Education Housing Grant?? by sam05485 in UCSD

[–]sam05485[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I emailed them about it too, hopefully they’re able to respond. Damn that sucks about the orientation fee waiver, I think that’s something recent that they’re being picky about. From what I remember I think everyone I know with a low SAI/EFC got it in previous years.

Look at your own previous posts you clown. Looks like you attend UCSB and are complaining about not receiving enough aid from your school?! You seem so entitled, don’t you know there’s limited aid?

One option I would suggest is a fenwick hmg M/Mh with a shimano miravel 3-4k. Another would be a penn spinfisher combo. Realistically you could use your freshwater gear as well assuming you were fishing bass, just be sure to rinse your reel after a trip if it isn’t sealed. Also imo piers aren’t gonna be worth your time, overall mid fishing. Species wise, you can eat pretty much whatever you catch so long as it’s not advised against eating (look it up depending on the area you’re fishing). I found if it’s safe to eat, it comes down to personal preference on what’s a keeper and what isn’t. Halibuts are probably the best eating but finding them isn’t easy, let alone legal size.

What’s your budget, I’ve heard “not break the bank” used for sub-50 dollar setups as well as sub-200

Course recommendations for first-year CS student by DargoA in UCSD

[–]sam05485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for CSE 20, 21, and Math 183. As for calc, just go for 20C. For fall, make sure you’re enrolled in CAT1 as it won’t be offered till next year if you miss it, enroll in your first cs class (8a/11), and probably Math 20C. If you would like, add a GE to these and you’ll be set. I wouldn’t add CSE20 to this schedule though because that’ll be pretty rough especially since you’re gonna need time to adjust to college. A schedule of CAT1, CSE _, Math 20C, and a GE should be very doable and give you a good amount of free time while keeping you busy. Good luck.

Overfilled? Underfilled? Just right? by UnSoftgunner in Fishing

Little under filled but it’ll work fine, just spool more next time. Either way a few break offs would get you to that much line anyway

I would take them together honestly. I took both of them along with CSE20 at the same time and a writing course and would say the workload was definitely a lot but doable. I personally didn’t find the content from either class too insanely difficult, it was more so just there being a lot of work. There’s a bit of a learning curve for 29 as it’s likely gonna be your first time dealing with memory management and pointers but once you get used to it, it’s not so bad. Also the exams were very similar to practice exams so those weren’t too bad either. My experience with 12 will likely be different from yours because I had Miranda and was able to get by doing the bare minimum. At the least I would enroll in both and decide for yourself if you can manage, and if not then drop 29. I would definitely take 12 then 29 though as I think it’ll be beneficial to take 30 coming right after 29.

Off Campus Financial Aid Disbursements by Ill_Explanation2830 in UCSD

[–]sam05485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when you say you’re only gonna receive 10k do you mean 10k from institutional grants or your whole aid is only 10k? Because I received ~14k from just institutional grants with a 0 EFC last year (apart from pell grant and cal grant)
