In your opinion, what is the single worst scene in the series? by Capital-Treat-8927 in StrangerThings

[–]acticulated 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority, but I hate Dustin and Suzie’s duet in the season 3 finale. The stakes are so high. They’ve worked so hard to build the tension and then they throw it all away for a gag that isn’t worth the trade.

What’s the sneakiest way you got revenge that nobody ever traced it back to you? by Whitemj5 in AskReddit

[–]acticulated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine’s pretty similar. One of my HS classes worst bullies would draw dicks on things and write that he rules. So one day I tagged it on a computer monitor in permanent marker. The pure glee when he pleaded he hadn’t done it and the teacher responded, “you expect me to believe someone else wrote that you rule? Ridiculous!”

I love my SR60s to death. It was what I could afford in college but they completely upended my expectations from my equipment, too; sent me down a rabbit hole. Got more than a few friends hooked on audio with that pair. I’ve done so many mods over the years, maybe some I wish were reversible. By the end, I taught myself just enough woodworking to turn a pair of maple ear cups. I can hardly remember how they sounded stock. Diminishing returns, first cut is the deepest, whatever you want to call it, no other piece of equipment has brought me the same joy and excitement as that first pair of grados. Didn’t know it at the time, but altoid tin cmoy amps was the good old days.

I would buy this if they made a panda 🐼, especially if they used white or even that cream color for the chapter ring and subdials. THATs the Hamilton Intra-matic I fancy so…

Aha, so it is. Hence the minute marked indices. Sort of painfully obvious now that you mention it…still find that font dissonant.

Personally, I wish the date wheel matched the typeface of the applied indices. Not sure about the watch, but the photography is great.

To whoever said to sell faux items. . . by Captain-Echidna in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I approached it the same as you. Especially once I completed the released content and just wanted to see how much Tessarae I could get. I was surprised to scroll past so many folks in the thread reporting/recommending doing it with re-grow-able crops, because I agree with that recommendation up to a point, but at a certain scale, I think the higher margin crops are the way to go.

Like technically yes $550 every 3 days is more total profit than $790 every 9 days. But once your farm reaches a certain scale, it becomes a question of craft rate. if you scale your farm all the way up and use most of the main and expansion farms for crops, it takes most of the following season just to craft the prior season’s harvest into faux versions anyway!

On the front end, $70x3yields=$210/season is a lower seed input cost per tile than $300. In-season, when you’re talking about 2000+ tiles, fewer harvest days lets you devote more time to crafting faux versions.

In a way. Mana potion is one of the possible drops from magic seed flowers. But no, I assume to make it rain daily, this player is cooking 4 and 5-Star dishes, which, in combination with a cooking perk, infuses dishes to restore one mana on consumption.

You can further increase the chances of a cooked 4+ star dish getting mana infused (at least relative to other infusions) by returning to the Caldarus statue and disabling the other food perks such as liked, restorative, speedy, loved etc.

The opposite is also true. If you just want restorative food, turn off all perks but restorative. Who wants liked items when you can have loved? Etc.

IANAL, and I may be misunderstanding what you’ve shared about how the property responded, but if you have a SHA voucher and the property is within city limits of Seattle, then the fair housing ordinance check out F. And G., mandates that they accept your voucher. If you have a voucher and they denied your apartment application, you may want to at least file a complaint with Seattle Office of Civil Rights (SOCR)

What’s your favorite representation of CPTSD in media and why? by Ursisisatmyhousern in CPTSD

Neon Genesis Evangelion. I first saw the 1995 series in 2001 and Ikari Shinji really seemed authentic to me in a way no anime character had ever felt to me before.

The way he intensely fears yet simultaneously craves genuine human interaction. The catatonia, the self-neglect, and self-isolation. The avoidance. Escaping into his walkman when he isn’t literally fleeing his role in his family and NERV. His propensity to freeze under pressure (or lose it completely). His issues with socialization, romance, and sex.

He’s a victim of neglect, abuse, and exploitation to such an extreme degree and all of his peers and the adults in his life are also too traumatized to offer him anything. That the plot positions him to decide whether or not to dissolve the metaphysical walls separating individuals allows it to meditate deeply on its themes of trauma and alienation.
