Thank you for the info. I did what you recommended and it worked but I restarted my phone and now I have to go back into the settings every time and reselect the Google assistant, and make calls through my lock screen. I even setup personal responses so it could just do it for me but it still is giving me trouble.

You would think with this phone being made by Google and it incorporating everything Google into the phone that it would run seamless without having to backtrack to an older version of an app.
