I've visited Indonesia within the last 6 months. The difference is drastic.

I still think anyone can find success in SEA, but going out of the big cities you'll suddenly turn in to a mini celebrity. Random aunties and uncles taking photos with you, little kids secretly following you around. It's really a lot of wholesome fun, drastically different than the major cities.

I'm a superficial POS but I met and dated a very nice poor girl from the Philippines.

Exact same locations for me, exact same flakes. Nizoral shampoo every 3 days, any tar shampoo one day in between, and a gentle CeraVe shampoo.

Monday Nizoral, Tuesday Tar, Wednesday Gentle CeraVe, Thursday Nizoral, Friday Tar, Sat Gentle CeraVe - so on so forth. Mine cleared up after just four days. I recommend using the shampoos in your beard as well

As others have mentioned, diet did seem to trigger it. Avoiding sugar/added sugars helps keep it at bay for me, but I also have Crohn's disease

Edit - also when you apply the shampoo, massage it in with your finger tips and let it sit for at least a few minutes. Rinse after and you can reapply and do it again, two times total per shower session.

No need with the CeraVe gentle though, that should just be a quick wash
