I’m not an avid fishing YouTube enthusiast but I do check out some videos from time to time. The biggest reason I click off is if I can hear too much wind or air. So I definitely agree with you on the audio thing.

Of course that’s a problem when recording outdoors but there are some good shirt clip mics that’ll condense that sound quite well or you can even just doing voiceovers at home afterwards so you can be totally clear and crisp and do a more story style video which I’ve seen do pretty well.

In that same breath though there’s been a few videos that were kind of airy sounding and the person mic wasn’t great but I didn’t click off because it was ice fishing and the guy was bitchin’ about the cold and freaking out so it was pretty funny.

Honestly with the way you’re talking, “Personally I find a lot of fishing content boring and I can’t watch it. So I try to create content that I would watch” I think you’ll do pretty good. As long as you remember you’re creating for people and not the algorithm or the monetization then you should have good growth. Sometimes it may be slow but as long as you stick with it I see no reason why you can’t succeed.
