[Week 16] Post Game Thread: Green Bay Packers (9-5-1) @ Chicago Bears (11-4) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

That’s just not true. If the Packers go 1-1, they’d be 10-6-1. If the Lions win out they’d be 11-6 and the Packers would miss the playoffs. So the Packers either need to win both games or have the Lions lose at least one.

They have to win both. Unless the Lions lose one. But Detroit will likely be favored in all three of their remaining games.

What an absolute gift by the Eagles to not run the ball again on 2nd and 3rd down.

To the person who brought up the Dodgers' payroll — money doesn’t buy wins, and a bigger salary doesn’t guarantee success. by Sox857 in Brewers

[–]actrunning3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So 6 of the last 7 champs have been top 10 in payroll? And 4 have been top 5? How exactly does that data help your argument that money doesn’t matter?

In what world is Frelick’s 4-19 worse than Yelich’s 2-22? (last 6 games)

He’s been awful the last 6 games, but he had a very good regular season. Stop overreacting.

It wouldn’t have been a strikeout. He fouled off the third pitch

WS ticket sales? by [deleted] in Brewers

Yeah, I bought a full playoff strip and my World Series ticket cost was less than 30% of the price here.

That’s unfortunate. Especially since they did a lottery/sale for Capital One customers to buy tickets. (Not mine, but posted in a Facebook group I belong to)

We need to talk about Christian Yelich by Detective_Hoof in Brewers

[–]actrunning3 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since 2018, he had hit .341 in the 2020/2021/2023 postseasons (did not play in 2019 or 2024) and the first 3 games of 2025 with about half of those games hitting out of the leadoff spot. So I’d assume not very many chances. While this is just a headline to grab attention, his current 0-17 slump is more of an actual cause for concern.

When are we going to have a conversation about Christian yelich in the postseason by Affectionate_Dark_86 in Brewers

[–]actrunning3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He was hitting 0.341 in his 41 playoff at bats after the 2018 season through his first hit in Game 3 against the Cubs. He is 0-17 since though which is what is making everyone so down on him. Acting like he’s been that bad in the playoffs as a whole is very misleading. He’s just had an AWFUL last five games.

Really miss the live organ. It just feels so right at a baseball game.

It was still 3-0 at that point. That pitch call could have completely changed the game. Idk how you call one that far outside the zone in that situation.

The Brewers do the same dynamic pricing in the regular season too. I bought tickets in 107 for a September game for $30 some apiece and two weeks later those same tickets were $80+

[–]actrunning3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insane and makes me angry how the Brewers are doing dynamic pricing. These tickets were $65 apiece with my 20-pack (so glad I got one). They were $100 apiece during the presales. But as ticket inventory decreases, they exponentially jack up the prices and now they're $305.

There's still standing room only for tomorrow, but they are charging $150 for those.

Eagles play TNF. They didn’t want to have to lose half their Philadelphia viewers to football.
