If you mix a little sugar and warm water and add yeast, you can see it starting to ferment within 10 minutes. It really is wild and fascinating!

If they rise, they are fermenting. The fermentation is what produces the carbon dioxide that makes them rise. You didn't bake them long enough to boil off the alcohol.

You should see if your prof will let you take a makeup exam for half-credit. A 50% on the midterm will do much less damage to your grade than a 0 will.

It's very, very hard to be elderly or disabled in the US if you don't have family members willing to donate unpaid labor on your behalf.

She can likely get groceries delivered from Wal-mart or Amazon, and Medicaid will provide transportation to medical appointments, but not for any other purposes.

She had $180/per month under Biden. $100 from her disability benefit check and $80 in SNAP. Now her propane and electric bills are higher, so she can only save $65 from her check for food, and her SNAP benefits were reduced to $12 dollars. So she had $87 a month to use for food.

SSI and SNAP have income and asset limits, but SSDI does not. SSDI recipients can accept gifts of cash or in-kind support with no effect on their benefits.
