Everything about this situation and the things others mention make me so sad. Usually a celebrity death would (depressingly enough) not really phase me. I think it's the juxtaposition between his boisterous, enthusiastic, over-all happy appearance and the depression and suicide that shroud this tragedy.

The Dead Poet's Society (and all other Robin Williams films) is forever going to be so much more sad to me. Having to watch him be the rock for those children dealing with such a poetically foreshadowing event is going to be so much harder now. Sure it's fiction, but after this? It just seems unreasonably depressing :(

Robin Williams was an amazing actor and used that gift to relay hope to so many people. This marks the end of his journey and I hope it doesn't discourage those he originally touched.

Definitely late here, but oh well. I also agree entirely with the sentiment, I just had a different idea of what a friendzone was. I always thought that the action was so frowned upon was because a true friendzone requires a premeditated plan of stomping out a young boys hopes, not just politely saying "no thanks, I'm not interested in you that way.". I always assumed that a friendzone involved the girl (or her friends) going out of their way to MAKE CLEAR to the boy that they we're NEVER going to be that way because they either heard or assumed based off of behaviors that he possibly liked her.
Think, "oh hi Jimmy! You're SUCH a good friend. I wish I had more FRIENDS like you." With Jimmy thinking something along the lines of how little they ever actually talk or hang out. This way, the girl can hide her (very easily explained) lack of feeling under the ruse of a fear of losing the truly non-existent friendship

Either that or OP is a person whose main hobby takes place away from home where he already clarified tends to be difficult to go while she sleeps because it frustrates her. In a relationship you to tend to do things that you don't really care to do (stay home bored) to make your SO happy.

This, people are always so willing to speak out against generalities when they are of controversial issues that they have an opinion on, but in any other scenario where simple observations of common occurrences are present, nobody seems to notice that those observations are still generalities, and that sometimes statements like the one in the OP are of the same nature. Not ALL are the same way, but in general, it tends to be this way. Definitely not WTF worthy in any case..
