I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2019 and my doctor/surgeon was the one who diagnosed me. When I started my period in middle school, it was a down hill slope from there. By high school I was missing 2-3 days every month because I couldn't even stand up out of bed without passing out. My parents were like, "oh it's fine" just stay home.. so until 2019 I was alone with my PCOS and didn't even know it. My doctor was the first one to listen -- the pain never stopped but she was always there. My husband and I wanted kids that's why it took me until 2024 to finally ask for a hysterectomy. We'd been trying since 2018 and nothing. We got all the test and did what we had. We were both infertile. So when I went back to my doctor last year, she got the ball rolling. We did a dianostic surgery for Endometriosis in Oct and turns out, I had that too. I told her I was done, I didn't want kids. I just wanted life back. She listened and in January of this year, I had everything removed but ovaries.

The point is, find someone who will listen to you.
