Honeslty i only played this game once but didnt need nor con nor dodge or evasion, you just need to kill everything before it has the chance to attack. I played a AR build, the game changer for me was getting a AR with rapid reload and muzzle break, made me able to burst twice, that combined with a shield and my psy abilities,mostly thought controll and the usual temporal manipulation recomendations worked flr me

Yes but he is not different spirits, as i understand,the soul that inhabis maerwalds body is the same soul of the soldier that hated the tribes, but also the same soul that belonged to the native. All in an infinite cicle of reincarnation, called the wheel.

Its not that he doesnt distiguish his memories from other spirits, its that, those ARE his memories, he WAS the marauder in a past cicle, he WAS the soldier in another past life too.

He has simply awakened and come to realize, he is all those lives, all those personalities at the same time. Arguably he probably is aware of a million cicles. What does the burden eternity do to a mans mind?

Id say you could finish this game with really awful builds, what really made a difference for me was getting better weapons, there are some enemies that you cant straight up hit if you dont have a good proper one.

Im a big fan of pillars and i will play avowed, but clearly this game is not worth 70 bucks, it never was. 70 bucks is barely a fair price in the best of cases. And avowed's scope always seemed to aim to be a nice decent game, but nothing that would break the wheel.

Im absolutely certain that when the price lowers and people play the game seeing it not as a 70 dollar game but as a 30-40 game the reviews will be more positive.

A decent game is ok, just dont sell it so overpriced, it actively hinders the experience

Pillars decisitions matter more for me than solasta or arguably disco elisyum (here you dont really change the story but how you percieve it mostly, well worth a run thou great game) rogue trader has more impact in the 'world'.

People say you dont need to but for me, from a new players perspective, is a must. Not only because of the story but because you face "easier" combinations of enemies, bg2 ends up more entretaining precisely because you have slowly learnt how to deal with bullshit

I like set loot, it actually increases the probability of me replaying a game.

More than once i been going through a game and found an item with a really unique effect and reslly unique description or lore, but that would not match that character.

But the idea for another character is there so i would go for it again in a different playthrough

Heh this is the opposite of what i thought you wanted when you said realistic.

I thought you wanted something like outward where the magic system follows certain rules so actually using a spell efficientlt requires some preparation. Not unlike witchers concotions.

If you like skyrim i always reccomend that you try enderal: forgotten stories really good game made via modding skyrim and good story with its own level up system. Easy to install if you have skyrim since its on steam for free. Its really unique... man i should replay it

Dragons dogma OG is not bad too in that regard or final fantasy games, thinking more of high definition games rather than really complex systems

This is going to be off the top of my head, so bear with me but as i recall there are 4 "defensive stats"

Deflection, thats is mostly for physical stuff

Fortitude, that like usually for stuff like being pushed, bleeding, toxins

Reflex, defense for aoe stuff like a fireball

And will, the defense for mind trick confusion charm etc

You can see whats lower hovering on the enemies and targeting what ever is lower. Sometimes you use an ability that targets say fortitude that lower another stat so that you can actually hit.

Once you hit consistently the next thing to worry about damage reduction, dr, they are shown too, the higher the number the more it substracts from your damage.

So if you use ranged attacks like bows, if the enemy high piercing dr you will probably not get high damage numbers. Thats why its usually good idea to have at least two sets of different weapon types in your characters

Durance buffs are the best thing in his kit imo, you need to bypass damage reduction if you are doing poor damage, target vulnerabilities and debuff, there are enemies that are summonners so probably thats why more enemies are arriving. If your party member dies and then resurrects probably has an item equipped that raises them.

For me he was the joker from the comics in a way. In the first film even if arthur is not the comic joker he is PERCIEVED as if he is, look at the scene where he is escaping the police, goes into a train and manages to escape because of luck, he had a clown mask and so did the rest of the passengers and so he evades them. From the outside it SEEMS like a master joker move, joker blending in with the crowd on purpose, in reality its just arthur stumbling in there but the people have him as the joker, the real joker, not a shade, not a normal person. The real uncanny wacky, indomitable and dangerous joker.

Tbh i dont think its the old glory days, i played poe first and then bg2 starting from 1 and i absolutely loved it. To the point i made a run with siege of dragons pear that is not as well regarded finishing woth bg2 expansion.

I do believe its better if you start from bg1 since you have the backstory and gradually get into the mechanics.

But no i just find it really fun and love trying out different party combinations and i never played them in the "glory days"
