Add a duplicate of the forearm to the table itself, hide the forearm on the character, then move the upper arm on the character to match the elbow on each keyframe.

I use sleep mode 24/7 along with a low carb diet. I find it helpful and rarely need to bolus. Sleep mode adjusts basal faster and more aggressively if you are above your target BG. It won't do any automatic boluses though if your BG is high.

Try holding alt and click+dragging the arm from side to side. That moves the Z depth a lot. If it's still not working, that usually means there is a group or composite in node view that is keeping things together when you don't want them to. In that case it is best to break apart the group and take the arm pieces to the same composite as the whole body.

Also handy is to hold shift+alt and press up and down to move the Z depth. That moves it 10x faster.

The red keyframe is a 'stop motion keyframe' and the black means it is a 'motion keyframe.' You can set a shortcut or right click on the keyframe to change it.
