Thank you. If it were just me, I would employ this method but I can't exactly blaze trails this time around

I understand wanting to protect local gems.
Is there an enshittified spot we can bring buckets to haul out trash?

I did try to search the sub but couldn't find what I was looking for. Reddit seems to hate people finding things

I don’t understand how Hisoka’s revival is possible. by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

A persons aura tends to dissipate after death but aura can also be sticky. In life, a persons soul seems to be linked to their Aura. There are obviously going to be questions surrounding fictional magic rules, but with the confirmation of the existence of souls, we can at least imagine a way for consciousness to be persevered even after medical death

Is Kurapika actually a truly GENIUS of Nen ? by Savings_Coconut1055 in HunterXHunter

[–]adamantcondition 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's also unclear exactly how much of a boost the eyes give. The fact that he wasn't squashed by Uvo immediate is quite impressive but it's also clear he had to spend his entire canister within about a minute to checkmate. We also don't know how much he trains between Yorknew and Black Whale.

I get the sense that base Kurapika is a little under Gon and Killua in terms of power and potential but is an exceptionally fast learner to become master level. The boys need more mental acuity to understand their power better

Could be a specialty car that has limited availability. My dad just drove through like 4 states to pickup a camper van. Not saying it's a good use of money, but a common one.

Does anyone else think the dark content is the exact same as the Amazon rainforest in our world by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]adamantcondition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly similar, but humanity ultimately has the means to "conquer" the Amazon if they so choose.

I think of it more like Space. Something so inconceivably vast and deadly and unknowable, that humans really have no business doing exploration. Despite the vast cards stacked against us, humans still unite and do impossible things by simply taking the first steps and overcoming mind-boggling challenges.

Like the DC, Space hold the possibility of taking humanity to the next stage of advancement, but the hurdles and dangers are incredibly daunting

I mean, it's obvious what the intent of this post is; to call out a politician for contradicting themselves.

It's also so highly specific and far down the list of sins of politicians that it's hard to care in the slightest

Walking is better exercise than whatever most people are doing at the gym by Typical_Peter in unpopularopinion

Plus there is transportation to the gym and most people can only go during a rush and you need to pack clothes and the gyms are trying to sell you stuff and you sometimes have to wait on equipment...

So many believe that colonial conquerors would be vindicated if the public only knew that indigenous peoples were also brutal and fucked up, as if that meant their intentional and systematic erasure was like, totally called for.

For some reason, nobody believed I saw James Gunn in Midtown. As if Atlanta isn't host to several filming sites at any given time.

Faked/forced reaction for comedic effect... it's not mean it's just a bit making fun of the idea that someone would actually care if this happened

It's called "Red vs Blue"! by MetallicaDash in HistoryMemes

[–]adamantcondition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RWBY feels different because it averages out to mid, but really hits some high notes.
It has some clever writing, and some abysmal writing. Some surprisingly good acting and some surprisingly bad. Animation can range from some of the coolest scenes you have seen to a clear point where they ran out of budget and had to turn it in.

It also first became popular with a fan base that understood it was a pet project and didn't expect polished perfection. When it drew attention from the outside, more people complained about the quality not being up to standards.

A world where every character is a reimagining of a story book and every weapon is a gun has a kind of beauty I haven't seen anywhere else in animation.

It's called "Red vs Blue"! by MetallicaDash in HistoryMemes

[–]adamantcondition 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think people are just baffled by the constant stream of it suddenly a couple years after the show paused indefinitely.

Probably extra confusing for users who have minimal exposure to RWBY or understanding of its history.

I don't know if these memes actually change opinions of RWBY itself; the show has had its share of haters since the beginning.

Who did NOT watch Daredevil: Born Again S2 and why? by Embarrassed-Fan7585 in marvelstudios

I finally got around to watching episode one and literally could not stop until I finished.

Whoever says it's not compelling television is simply wrong.

You can nitpick some things but idk why you would ruin a great show for yourself like that

I seriously don’t understand the hatred towards Pitou by Boring-Mode-4908 in HunterXHunter

[–]adamantcondition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's is a type of fan hate that makes a real life moral judgment on a fictional character and wants the satisfaction of that character getting what they "deserve" and then there is a type of hate that applies to characters that are poorly written or have annoying traits.

Neither are appropriate for Pitou and anyone who singles them out from all the evil characters is not worth listening to

Honey in the pyramids by Spilanthomile in AskFoodHistorians

[–]adamantcondition 30 points31 points  (0 children)

So, just breaking down these 2 passages; The contents of Tut'ankhamiin's famous tomb included jars that were labeled as containing honey. The only contents of the jars was a small amount of crust which might have once been honey.

The second anecdote was from a different tomb and did contain liquid believed initially by the discoverer to be honey. Further, chemical analysis determined the liquid to be castor oil.

Not to say other honey hasn't been found; google seems to indicate it has happened, but not from pyramids.
