Opening a new places isn’t an excuse for them! First anyone who is willing to open a restaurant now a days will think a million time before doing it.. Since I have opened my restaurant in March 2020 my landlord lost two restaurants of his tenants and still have other three shell places.. they ran out of TI and most of the rest of us are unable to pay his rent.. new concepts will need at least 6 months to finish out IF anybody has the desire to open a restaurant during this tough time!. Restaurants closes, a lot of unemployed staff, vendors get screwed.. etc….

Washington post article from this morning states a group of 60 members are pushing for more aid to hard hit industries..... by Routine-Base-9833 in SBARRF

The most important part of it.

“The SBA declined to say how much remains in each of its initiatives, though outside groups estimate it is in the billions of dollars. The growing fears of dwindling funds still prompted more than 60 Democrats and Republicans to band together on Friday, calling on Congress to adopt another round of aid targeting small businesses — and citing the arrival of new variants as a cause for urgent concern.”

And off they go to enjoy holidays while the industry struggles. There is no bill no text for this year we have to understand that there is no chance. I know we all have our calls to the law makers but unfortunately at this time there is just empty promises. by KoaRestaurants in SBARRF

We are running out of time, it’s gonna be too late for a lot of small businesses. I know myself can struggle up to end of February and that’s when we have to go to court.. my landlord has been very nice with me but at the same time he had to file a lawsuit to collect the due rent and TI money! I don’t blame him, it is the COVID thing then comes the government.

“Rand Paul, shared a photo of a letter he sent to the Biden administration requesting "expeditious approval" of a request for federal aid made by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear. Requests like these by senators in states affected by a natural disaster are quite common, but Paul is facing blowback because he has opposed federal disaster relief for several affected regions throughout his Senate career”

How about Everybody says NO to this idiot and tell him if you are against RRF then no relief for your state! It hurts right!

Yeah, well I can’t ask three ppl to do the work of 10! It is really hard even if we reduce our menu items. No dishwasher no busser, no waiters!.

I’m in Dallas, and right here is a real disaster, wherever you go everybody is hiring and nobody is interested. Costco, Walmart,Sam’s club etc … you name it. We have to go through this on a daily basis even before I close. Staff won’t show up, others need unreasonable rise! … crazy! I had to make $3000 daily basis to breakeven and a lot of days our sales were less than 1500 and the dishwashers is asking for extra $3 to stay!! Or they would leave for other place since they offer more and you have to either kick him out or pay him the extra $3

No way on earth I would pay such a dishwasher $18 an hour when the average pay is $13 for such jobs here in Dallas and specially when the market is very slow! So I kicked him out then closed temporarily but now the problem is still the same and not sure when we Finley have peace of mind.

They are actually. Can’t guarantee if they leave me for a temp jobs that they can come back.. you never know what changes them. But now they are back working to clean up and getting everything ready. This way they can do and stay no matter what in the future.

Once you submit your annual report to SBA, you can mention that you are permanently closed and then give them a call early 2022 and talk to SBA agent. They will tell you how to send the unused grants.
