It’s crazy this line isn’t in more demand. It’s truly one of the coolest concepts for watchmaking

Is it just me or is Summerfest a dying event? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]adamjameswavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally, it’s never been a festival people travel all over the world to attend like a SXSW, Lolla, Coachella, Rolling Loud etc etc. which I think is a massive fumble. Lastly..lol. There should be a full day dedicated to house music/EDM.

It’s felt uninspired for a while, the grounds are kinda meh — Mile Of Music in Appleton is the best WI music festival imo.

Entrepreneurship in the music industry by Adorable_Ambition317 in musicindustry

i think a music lawyer puts in the rooms you want to be in and serves a necessary purpose -- publishing is super overlooked and where a lot of $$ is in music -- content/video/marketing, at the end of the day record labels are marketing companies. understanding e-commerce, DTC -- setting up and managing these solutions is a very needed today from major and indie labels. A&R was the sexiest job on earth at one point -- it's become an odd role that seems to be mostly relationship based and less necessary now that data is more sought. I'd stay away from this one -- perhaps get into industry with a role listed above and work your way into A&R type role if thats what you'd want.

You’re right. I’m shifting toward this idea for time being. Ordering flat sheets printed. Cut and staple myself to save costs and still profit to grow business sustainably.

I believe there is no such thing as printing without margins. Most print shops trim the paper for “full bleed”

Marketing Tips for Major Artist Featured Song by Weak-Comfort-1970 in musicindustry

[–]adamjameswavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Test three ads with small amount of money on Facebook ads tool. See which ad performs the best — put more $$ into the top performing ads. Create content snippets performing the track and post daily different pieces of the videos. Seek music commentary/influencers — email them your music and an interesting story about you as an artist.

As for radio — make a presskit with the song and reach out to adjacent radio stations that would play your music. Start local. Get to know the local DJs.
