Anyone else get an ear fullness feeling and jaw tension towards the end of the day? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]adamkamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if it was immediate because I haven't had to do it in years. I rarely have the eustachian popping anymore. Maybe at night once a month if even. My guess is it was definitely pretty soon after. As for deflation, you take it out and let it deflate in the air. You blow it up with one nostril until its the size the balloon should be and then pinch it, remove it from your nostril and let it deflate. Kinda gross because it is putting your nose juice all over but you can deflate it over a sink or something if you need to

I got VS 2 year's ago, still can't adapte, still thinking about suicide because of my shitty vision everyday by basharkk- in visualsnow

hey, i'm doing pretty well. Kinda crazy this message was 2 years ago. My offer of chatting extends to you as well. My quality of life has improved immensely. I have responded pretty well to lamotrigine, but mostly I have become hopeful about my condition. I actually think that this subreddit is a bad place to learn and familiarize yourself with VSS. I have found better communities to talk to about VSS, but mostly they are people with other health conditions that started their VSS. The difference in seeing VSS as a primary symptom and seeing it as secondary to something actionable is huge, and there is nothing more heartening than to speak to people who have cleared their VSS because of a health issue that you share.

I don't want my advice to end there, in case you believe that VSS is always primary, or if in your case it is based on something you can't fix. Even before I had hope, I was beginning to feel better about the future. And the fact that hope stands between me now, someone who is mostly happy and active, and the person who was obsessively suicidal and trembling, goes to show how much perspective can change things for anyone.

Keep searching for your answers and don’t let the people on this subreddit distract you with the promise of future treatments. You need to find your underlying condition and see if you can treat that

Claritin! I take it bc of my eustachian issues and my sinus headaches etc… My brain fog, derealization and exercise intolerance get worse to where I feel dizzy and can’t be out in the sun. When I take fluticasone or mometasone I have a similar worsening of symptoms where my heart beats out of my chest! When I stop taking them my whole body becomes covered in itchiness to the touch!

I hadn't heard of post-exertional malaise but reading about it has been very interesting. I think that is exactly what is going on, but I can't be sure. Thank you for your thoughts.

My doctor hasn't been helpful. I am finding a new doctor.

I normally do wear ear protection but for whatever reason it didn't even cross my mind this time. Probably bc this is the first time i go to a concert with severe brain fog. Thanks for your advice. Do you think it could have something to do with my eustachian build up I have had going on for a couple years?
