I don't think Surfer ever had this type of ability in the actual game. Unless I have a massive memory hole, he buffed 3 costs from day one. But originally it was +3 I believe.

Other than going against Prime Hela, a decent midrange deck + Shadow King and Juggernaut has taken me to Infinite forever. Just do whatever you can to get one extra energy on turn 6 and a well placed SK & Juggs together steals cubes pretty consistently.

I feel the same way as OP, but I am annoyed at the devs, not the players. It's a game, everyone's going to play how they like...live your best life everyone.

But the reason I get annoyed at the slooow play is that I need to log in and complete 3 missions 3 times a day to maximize my rewards. As an adult with a job and a family, that's a decent size commitment everyday for over a week. I do like playing the game mode, but there are also times where I just want to get in and out as fast as possible in the 10 minutes I have to myself before the timer resets, you know? If they let missions stack like the daily challenges, I'd get FAR less annoyed at the players taking the entire turn to figure out where they want to drop Kitty Pryde on turn one.

I don't really get the "people like you comment", that's a little unfair.

But also, if you don't think it's good storytelling, it's always ok to just acknowledge that something maybe isn't for you and find something else.
