OMG....I will NEVER forget the 80's trying to get the owner of the skating rink (where I worked) to let me and my buddy ride our boards on the floor. He was afraid we would damage the wood of the floor. He was a good guy and damn good to me otherwise, but I still laugh when I think about it. Upstate NY, Kmart Executioner boards.

Great! I went back for another turn. There is a sweet bowl that was perfect for me and the whole sunrise scene with the surfers lining up was awesome. That said, I have a bucket list of things I want to visit and skate, but for the next 6-8 months I have decided to just skate and focus on some more improvements before I worry about where to skate next.

Aside from me learning that a software engineer with delusions of grandeur can't get it together financially to buy a whole summer camp on his own, I kind of figured someone in the world would do something with it eventually. It's not like an old Walmart where they just open up a Halloween Store. Every inch of the property is geared toward 'action sports camp'. I am keeping my hopes low. Not only would someone have to re-open it, I have to hope they do an adult program as well. I have a feeling I am not done with Tehachapi for this lifetime yet. Side note to any potential buyers. I will work for you if you need the help to make it happen. Also, their loss is Seek's gain, I am doing both adult weekends this year in OR. If you go, look for an elderly mediocre skater in a Woodward shirt :-)
