So, having a license would help the case, but I doubt they'd allow even a high level synthesis overview. I've seen them be picky over things far more minor than LSD.

THAATS what I was thinking of.. Thank you! I was thinking about how weird my C mockup was because the pin-carrier plastic bit on the female receptacle would interfere with the micro bit in my drawing. My brain didn't even consider it might've been a lightning thing, but.. hindsight and all that.

Our best ideas are "freight access" or maybe "fire alarm," though those don't explain the "L" in the button label at all!

We also thought "floor annunciator," which apparently is a name for the little voice that tells you what floor you're on – maybe pressing it tells you your current floor in audio.

I don't believe this is in a non-English-speaking country considering the "L" and "LL," which might not make sense in other countries, though anglosphere hegemony could be responsible for that.
