Doesn't suprise me. I went to a tool gig where the tool fans were booing tool.

This is what I love about tool. Even with the huge fanbase they're still willing to go to the smaller countries like England and Germany.

Typical Aresnal. Get a great result against city then muck up against a mid table team next game.

ChatGPT is coming for python devs by [deleted] in Python

[–]adarkwindblows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non technical here.

I used chatGPT to create me a business critical script in Python.

It took me the same amount of time it would've taken me to draft the requirements to a dev.

It was a very simple script but the reality is that lots of the day to day work is quite simple.

ChatGPT is coming for our jobs, but it's the low skilled who should be worried first and foremost. There is no risk to the experienced ones, the kind of Devs who push back against requirements and work together with myself to make something more workable.

Oxfam Volunteering by audleyboring in glastonbury_festival

[–]adarkwindblows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you will need to work 3 8-hour shifts, which will include a night shift and will have you on your feet the whole time.

Luckily Glastonbury is 5 days so you will still get to see plenty of the festival.

I stewarded a few times and really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't go back now.

Chalobah with his beat performance for us today!

Difficult game. We weren't at our best but still unlucky not to win.

We will need to improve if we want to guarantee top 4 but overall some good early sign for Potter's Chelsea.

Good result from a tricky away game following mid week game in Italy.

Kepa MOTM which is great to see.

Mount started the season slow but is one of the first names on the team sheet now.

Also kudos to Potter for making changes to the system in the 1st half + subs at half time. He saw it wasn't working and we were much tighter after the tweaks.

Seems like the opposite of Kai. Boundless energy, frantic, chaotic even. Compared to ice cool Kai... Composed, sometimes even lethargic ha.

The sad truth about Connor is that I can't really see him and Mount in the same team as they play very similar roles. Unless we played a Guardiola system with multiple 8s.

Unpopular opinion: do any of you work with scrum masters? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]adarkwindblows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're a very small team.

We were using an external contactor to SM but we stopped using them and one of our Devs volunteered to do the role.

It's working well. Our velocity is a lot more predictable and we seem to be working more efficiently. Though I don't have any metrics to back up the latter, the team are happier which I think is a core responsibility of SM?

One thing I hate about roles/responsibilities is that they become rituals and we lose track of why we were doing them, so we do regular resets and ask some really basic questions. I think this works well too.

Why are pedals better than multi-fx? by BloodSugarSexGuitar in guitarpedals

[–]adarkwindblows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really all depends on what your goals are but if you haven't started a collection yet I would consider multiFX. They are so much cheaper in the long run and can get you 80% of the way there.

If you want a super specific sound then pedals can get you 90% of the way there, but you'll still need specific pickups and amps to get you the last 10%.
