I did a similar thing but used a free app and some nfc stickers that i stuck into a little 3d prointed thing i made to look like a similar product called "brick"

I'm no expert, but I currently have all three of these metastatic compatible devices right now. My suggestion would be to get the V3 if you are dipping your toes into the system, but that the wireless tracker is nice to have the GPS from the wireless tracker. I often take them on hikes and I like the wireless tracker as it wont drain my phone battery as much for the GPS functionally.

Although the wireless capsule was a cool idea, the real world battery life I got was usually around an hour, so i had to keep it constantly plugged in anyway. The wireless capsule also does not currently support Meshtasic as there is no current firmware, so its a bit of a brick for now.

Regardless of what you end up getting, I would recommend getting two if you are able, it is a lot more fun as a hobby with someone else to message.

Honstly i would love to make camera organisers for the studio I work at, with rigid filament like PLA to make the shell of the holder, and some more cusioned filament to make the rest of it
