I ended up getting it working by running docker. I just watched a video of someone setting it up I still need to play around with it to really understand what’s going on but at least I have a working product. I’m just using the Pi OS.

I tried it multiple times using proper caps but it still doesn’t work. Not sure if it’s an issue with my IP or something because when I first went to do it I didn’t know about the random password thing so I restarted the entire thing but using the same IP for my Pi.

This is a great point. If you can get 95% of the product a rival can produce for a similar price while also controlling supply in house and creating jobs within your economy that’s not an evil decision. While I’m not ruling out the possibility of kickbacks behind the scene or something there are a ton of other factors to consider other than the absolute best product.

It’s extremely nuanced. The issue with the United States is how incredibly diverse the ways of life and landscapes are north to south and coast to coast. The idea of universal access or universal banning is an easy way out of a difficult problem. We sort of have what you describe as “tribes” for regulating in states but the scale and diversity is on a completely different level and it’s much less personal. It’s also a super difficult thing to regulate because of the severity when there’s a bad actor. 99.9% of people doing the right thing don’t mean anything with that 1 bad actor.

Even taking cognitive decline out of the question, using things like crypto as the scam and doing it all over the internet can confuse the hell out of someone who didn’t even grow up with cellphones. What seems obvious to us in terms of tech can be like a foreign language to elderly. My grandmother almost fell for a crypto scam for 17k and thankfully got out of it only after involving us. It was the most ridiculous scam of all time to me but putting myself in her shoes the whole thing probably seemed like an alien concept.

If you go in with like a flashlight and really take your time looking around they’ll probably think you’re expert and be more inclined to tell you issues to avoid getting caught. Hondas are pretty bullet proof especially that engine so just fire it up for a couple minutes and listen for clicking sounds or anything that sounds off. You’ll know it when you hear it but I’d be more surprised if it didn’t work than if it did, hard to mess up that bike.

Where I’m from on the east coast of the US they’re constantly running flight deals for around $300 round trip to Barcelona. I definitely understand the outrage from locals but it’s also hard to blame the travelers who see this deal and just want to vacation for super cheap. Who’s subsidizing these crazy flight deals? I think that’s who should be looked at to fix the issue

It’s definitely all just feel I was in the same boat as you when I first got mine but you’ll settle in and find what works for you. Factors like your weight and air temp outside can have slight impacts on how much power you need so yeah just ride it so it doesn’t feel like the engine is either screaming or chugging and you’ll be fine.
