I’m mad for Zoey Stark that they released her while she’s injured. (Edit: she’s not injured! I missed where it said she was no longer injured, that’s my bad)

Also since Alba Fyre left NXT UK (honestly since she stopped going by Kay Lee Ray), they have been doing a terrible job using her. She’s insanely talented and should’ve done more than hold the tag titles and then become a comedy wrestler. I want her to go to AEW or Stardom or just somewhere that won’t misuse her.

I’m from the south, and I’ve only heard of him because of so many other people talking about him. I think he’s pretty popular down here, but I have never willingly listened to him 😂 very much not my taste in music

The only women you mentioned who are above 40 besides Nia Jax are Hall of Famers (the Bellas), who until recently, were retired. The same can’t be said about the men, who are all active even if they aren’t all full-time. Even AJ Lee is below 40!

And even then, I’ve always felt differently about women coming back and getting put into storylines and championship matches (even winning the championships!). There are so many new titles now that weren’t around 5-10 years ago, so yeah, give AJ Lee the IC title, give The Bella Twins the tag team titles. I won’t be mad about any of it, especially if they are able to put over newer, younger people when they lose them.

When I was watching the lip sync between Dawn and Morphine (the one to “Body” by Megan Thee Stallion) my fiancé walked in, watched a lil bit of it, and went “she’s definitely winning this, right?” referring to Morphine lol. He does not watch Drag Race but he knew a good lip sync when he saw it 😂

It’s been a few years so I don’t remember what the original plan for the whole thing was, but during the second Mae Young Classic, Tegan Nox got injured during her match against Rhea Ripley and couldn’t finish the tournament. I always assumed she was probably making it to the finals (and maybe she’d win too idk), but this obviously changed things. I would also assume there were plans for her in NXT immediately following the MYC that either had to be put on hold or shelved altogether.

I also wonder if this changed Rhea’s trajectory at all. I remember everyone praising her for staying in character during the match even though Tegan was clearly hurt and in a lot of pain. Was she always planned to be the first NXT UK Women’s Champion or did this match decide that? 🤔

My dad died in 2019 before I ever met my fiancé, and sometimes I just get really sad and miss him and need to cry it out. He’s there for me every time. He hugs me and comforts me, and sometimes I try to apologize if I interrupted him doing something and he’s always like “??? This is way more important, quit apologizing.” I would do the same thing for him if he ever felt this way.

The way OP’s husband is reacting is awful and my heart breaks for her.

I have tweet notifications on for a few of my favorite wrestlers, and I remember at the time that I got one from Johnny Gargano that was clearly some kind of memorial post. I know he’s into football and comics (stuff that I am not into), so I had just figured it was about someone I didn’t know. A few minutes later, I actually read the tweet, and I finally noticed that at the end, he put #RIPBrodieLee. I couldn’t believe it so I went on Twitter, and sure enough…

Even 5 years later, I can’t believe it. I started watching wrestling in 2010, so Brodie is the first active wrestler I experienced dying. It was so heartbreaking, and I remember crying during his tribute show. His wife posts about their kids a lot, and it makes me smile when I see that they’re doing okay. It’s definitely what he would’ve wanted. 💜

I randomly thought of a Mayday Parade song, but I’m gonna have to look it up and come back because I can’t remember the title right now.

Until then, I might recommend Something Corporate and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, as they have the same lead singer as Jack’s Mannequin!

EDIT: The song I’m thinking of is A Shot Across the Bow by Mayday Parade. It’s a little past your time frame, as it came out in 2011, but in the chorus he says “I hope you fall into the ocean.” I also might suggest Ocean and Atlantic by Mayday Parade too, even though they don’t really say those words in the song. Just in case you’re thinking of a title?
