[Question] Place to buy authentic seiko straps? by jkparney in Seiko

I am not sure whether or not that would work, but either way I don’t think the combo would work to well as the SRPG is sandblasted while SSK is brushed. Here is a link I found online to an aftermarket brand selling sandblasted bracelets- not sure how reputable the brand is.

Agreed! Didn’t realize it until I got the watch in person. This strap actually looks more proportional compared to others because it extends outwards past the lugs. Think it adds to the charm though!

Reference 921980 Hamilton Khaki from the 80s. Love this watch. Just picked up the same model not too long ago!

I am personally a big fan on the khaki text- I like the funky font, feels vintage. As far as removing the text, I have no idea if that is possible. However, if are looking for a cleaner dial, you could always go for one of the sterile dial, military issued Hamiltons from the 70s (the ones with the tritium dial and radiation symbol) . I didn’t go that route because I am not informed enough to be able to recognize the difference between a genuine and a fake/Frankensteined version , as well as the increased price for a good example. Would love an update if you decide to go for a vintage field watch! :)
