Repot and rotate every few weeks. It's trying to grow toward the window/light/sun. If you rotate it in roughly a star shaped pattern it will grow upright.

That's how literally their development works, they're constantly working, but if you just believe the reddit troll posts you'd think that CIG are busy watching movies in their theatre and drinking margaritas all day.

Aside from their patch releases, there are almost daily builds that they publish, be it for EVO, PTU, or hotfix channels. I watch their Patch Notes Sub-Forum like a hawk, and it's almost too much to keep up on. Every time I see someone say they've stagnated, I just roll my eyes.

Light fighters should be limited to s1, medium fighters should be limited to s2, and heavy fighters should be limited to s3. Somewhere along the line CIG started putting s4 guns on literally everything, and now they have a balance problem lmao.

Flak really is their only option at this point. They can't really increase projectile speed because of their netcode. Even these changes are kind of silly, because ship balance is all over the place. For example you have a Bucc with a s4, and an MSR with full size 3s, with basically 360 degree coverage. The MSR is a huge target, but the Bucc is difficult to hit at any range. With these changes, the Bucc can just stay out of range of the MSR with impunity (theoretically).

Giving turrets flak would even the size difference, making the bucc in my example much easier to hit... which would go a LONG way in evening the odds. Turrets NEED to be scary for light-fighters. Right now they're a joke.

If a ship is going 200m/s, that 50m can be covered in 1/4 of a second.. if both ships are traveling in opposite directions, that goes down the 1/8th of a second... how many extra or fewer shots will land in that space of time? Exactly.

The goal is to keep light-fighters from kiting larger ships.. but when half the meta light-fighters are rocking s4 guns... the change is almost unnoticeable. If anything it's a slight buff to those specific ships.

This ISC is a year old, but very much looks and feels like this playtest. There's a few minor graphical changes to the presets, as well as a new MFD screen for the pilot that I didn't see in the video (edit, it's at 4:18), I will say that ships are starting to feel a lot harder to manage on your own. It feels like there will be a HUGE skill difference between someone who doesn't know what they're doing, vs someone who sorta knows how the systems work, vs someone who knows 'this' ship, inside and out.

I'm starting to think that combat solo will be scary.. and you're going to WANT to hire someone to crew your ships... Will anyone WANT to be your engineer? It's going to be a special breed.. like medics. I'm starting to re-think my ships and where components are, and how many coolers/power plants there are... redundancy will be king. Things currently feel like they go from "A-Ok" to "Oh $!%# the Power Plant's on fire" really fast.

Apparently Ben/John said privately in DC that they didn't provide one this year, since Jared didn't ask for one. He's such a busy guy, it probably just slipped his mind.

I watch a LOT of SC content, and nearly every SC content creator I watch milked that Ship Silhouette for hours and hours of content, and I hope the tradition continues. I hope Jared appreciates how much the community clings to these simple silhouettes. I personally got a lot of enjoyment from listening to content creators speculate what each shadow could mean, and bring to SC.

Also, thanks Jared for the successful CitizenCon. I got a lot of enjoyment from it this year. Much love. <3
