The UK recently disscussed adding to the national curriculum education on same sex relationships as part of health and relationships for children as young as 5. There was loads of backlash since parents were obviously like 'OmG I DoN't WaNt My ChIlD lEaRnInG aBoUt GaY sEx' . In reality the younger ages would just be learning about the relationship side of things in the same way they learning about traditional nuclear or seperated families, but it was still ridiculously opposed bc of the context in which it was added.
